Yeah, and if Dwight Clark was 1 inch shorter, he'd have at least one less SB ring.

Steve Bono, dude. Steve fucking Bono.
It wasn't 4th down on that play.

Yeah and if Swann wasn't Swann or the guy didn't catch the ball on his helmet for Eli or the NE didn't make the FG's.

And Bono was 13-3 as a starter in KC. Its not like he was Ryan Leaf.

Those Schottenheimer teams in KC were pretty damned good, too. And Bono lasted only a couple of seasons before he was replaced by Rich Gannon.

Still, the Schottenheimer KC teams were nothing compared to the juggernaut that those 49'er teams were.

I'm convinced Hack wakes up each morning and asks his wife, "What day is it?"

Followed next by, "What year?"

Then he puts his teeth in and heads to TGP.

That would be weak and pitiful, even if you did NOT have 3x the number of posts I do here.

Took my son to the Steelers/Rams game over the holiday. If I am the Rams, I trade the pick. They are wanting in so many areas.

As far as Bradshaw goes, he was not even the best Qb on the team in the 70's. Too bad Jefferson Street Joe couldn't stay away from the cocaine...

Did anyone else see that PF call in the Bills-Pats game where a Bills player bumped into Brady during the return of an INT, when Brady was, by rule, just another player on the field trying to make a tackle. Brady fell down. The Bills player who bumped into him never left his feet. The refs threw a flag and said it was for driving the QB into the turf. Probably cost the Bills a score there before halftime.

I don't get to see too many Pats games. Is this normal treatment for Brady?

It's normal treatment for all the NFL QBs. The protection rules are ridculous.

Seems like this is the second time in just a few weeks that this sort of thing has happened with Brady. In both cases, the referee's explanation did not match what actually happened. Trust me that this example involving London Fletcher of the Redskins is not nearly as bad as the one that happened today vs. the Bills.

While I'm not usually one to get into this conversation, does the fact that the feckin Jaguars, in one of their worst years, swept the Peyton-less Colts have any bearing?

Had it been Peyton he would have been ejected, suspended , fined and forced to watch the next Nicholas Cage movie

I await the evidence that backs up that assertion. Something tells me I'll be waiting a long time.

Even the Pats' hometown media thought the call was ridiculous...

http://bostonherald.com/sports/football ... position=3

"Best QB protection: Brady could only hope for his offensive line to protect him as well as the officials did in the second quarter. During a Buffalo interception return, Bills cornerback Drayton Florence shoved Brady to the ground and was called for a personal foul."

Great future trivia question: Who is the Green Bay Packers franchise record-holder for single-game passing yards and TDs. Brett Favre? Aaron Rodgers? Bart Starr? Don “The Majik Man” Majkowski?

Nope. The backup QB for the Packers got a chance to play yesterday when Aaron Rodgers sat out to rest up for the playoffs. And he was playing against a respected Detroit Lions defense that had the motivation to improve their playoff seeding. The backup came in and looked as good, or better, than the starter. It's funny how playing for a great team can make a guy with some talent look like a better QB than he really is, don't you think?

Not sayin'...just sayin'.

He did himself proud...even though he beat my Lions. I was so glad to see him break that record.
