It's a hotmail account. I'd just ditch it.

I wouldn't worry about it. it's the problem of those who received it, not yours

Hotmail help said all I had to do was change my password. I think it was one of those VA Commonwealth cocksuckers.

Mr. AugustWest:

What is the appropriate amount I should expect to bend over and pay for a 32" 1080 dp TV?

Sincerely,

Question for the big shots at this place...Cletes, eCat, etal in particular...shall we archive some threads by year? I think we should archive the sports threads by season (new football thread in February, new hoops thread in April, etc), but do we want a new thread for the other big ones (like this thread for instance) every year, or just fuck it and let them grow forever?

at some point I would guess these large threads become a performance issue but it doesn't seem to be one now.

We gave our big SONY TV to the Mexican gardeners as my husband wanted a "thin" TV!-- The Sony was going to outlast us!--anyway I have a Q--we bought the big TV and usually --especially on movies--we get a black band at top and bottom, picture does not fill the screen so we end up with a smaller pic that the old Sony! Is there any way to make the picture fill the screen?--it does on shite like commercials etc!---------------BTW A Happy , Healthy New Year to you all (it had better be better than last year for me!!!!!

some movies have the black bands built into the digital transfer. it's called letterboxing ans is a way to make 16:9 ratio movies fit onto a 4:3 ratio screen. there's nothing you can do about them. likewise some commercials are still in the old format. that being said, there are buttons on the remotes for both the tv and your cable/sat box to adjust the picture so the screen is filled.

...but keep in mind, doing that cuts off a portion of what is naturally broadcast on the screen.

I keep my picture option on "cinema" and don't mind that peoples' heads get cut off at the eyebrows. It's my way of having a 37" instead of my 32". I nearly went online and bought a 42" right after xmas but calmed down long enough to convince myself it could wait until I find out how much it'll cost to fix my Sienna. Or put in new windows. Or get my house exterior painted.

The tv is for the boys and their gaming. They currently have an old tube tv in their room which sucks with ps3 and the new games, so they have invaded the family room tv much to the chagrin of their mother and sister. I need to get the tv to maintain peace and my sanity. 32 inch is about as large as can fit in their room.

Augie probably knows better than me which tvs go better with gaming. Which ones burn into the screen and whatnot if you leave them paused for awhile.

plasma pretty much isnt an option at 32" anyway. go lcd for price led of picture quality. neither one will burn in.
