Rickart is in no position to accuse anyone else of being obsessed, that much is certain.

Well that and cheat.....
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Should the Rams draft Andrew Luck....trade the pick....or trade Sam Bradford?

Washington is sitting at No.7, they should stay put and get RG3.

Re: Crashcourse's NASCAR and Manning > Brady Regurgitation
Congrats to Drew Brees for breaking Dan Marino's single-season passing yardage record, which stood for nearly 3 decades. I said here a couple of seasons back that I would take Brees over Brady. Brees now has 2 of the 3 top passing yard seasons in the history of the NFL and 6 of the top 100 seasons of all-time -- compared to just 4 for Brady.
Maybe it's time to replace Brady with Brees in the title of this thread.

Re: Crashcourse's NASCAR and Manning > Brady Regurgitation
brees career 40,000K yds 276 td's 146 picks
brady 39,000 yds 297 td's 114 picks
manning 55,000 yds 399 td's and 198 picks
farve 71,000 508 tds 336 picks
marino 61,000 yds 420 tds 252 picks
manning should eclips marinos records for yds and trd's
doubtful brady gets past manning as they are bothe within a year age 34 and 33
brees is 30 if manning plays 3-4 more years at a decent (healthy) pace he should get close/over to 500 tds brees would need 9 more years of 25td/year to get to 500. brady I don't see doing it

Re: Crashcourse's NASCAR and Manning > Brady Regurgitation
Manning would have eclipsed Marino next season if not for his injury. He would be second only to Favre all-time in completions, passing TDs and yardage.

Re: Crashcourse's NASCAR and Manning > Brady Regurgitation
have to give brady credit--the td/int ratio for him is much better then the other 4--peyton is a distant second and if farve had played a few more years he might have more picks then td's

ah yes, the "Big Regular Season Stats!" crowd is heard from, right on cueHacksaw wrote:Congrats to Drew Brees for breaking Dan Marino's single-season passing yardage record, which stood for nearly 3 decades. Ah, the "regular season stats don't count" crowd speaks up.
Both Brees and Peyton have won the big game, too...and with less talent -- and less cheating -- than Brady had on his side.

Of course. It's a great accomplishment. I am not afraid to complement Brady. Can't say the same for you where Peyton is concerned. And I'm certainly not obsessed with him, as you are with Manning. I already pointed out that he has 4 of the top 100 passing seasons in NFL history. It's just that Brees has 6 of them.
I think Brady's a good QB who has been fortunate to play on the dominant team of his era. Sort of like Terry Bradshaw, Joe Montana and Brett Favre. They all played on great teams. When Bradshaw was injured and Cliff Stroudt took over for him in 1983, the Steelers still went 10-6 and won their division. The 49'ers also finished 10-6 in their first season without Montana, with the combined QB play of Steve Young and (yikes!) Steve Bono. Favre left the Packers and Aaron Rodgers has them playing as well or better than ever. I just don't imagine that the Saints would be as good if they lost Brees.
So, I just think Brees is better. Nothing against Brady.
Well, maybe this...

Re: Crashcourse's NASCAR and Manning > Brady Regurgitation
and do we really have re-post Peyton singing?
Brees is obviously a great quarterback, right up there with Brady and Rodgers.
All of whom have won the big game. (One of whom has appeared in four big games so far, winning three)
Then the large gap between those three and the rest of the league.

Re: Crashcourse's NASCAR and Manning > Brady Regurgitation
blah, blah, blah...just more of your opinion, backed up by ZERO objective evidence. The stats fly in the face of your ridiculous argument. Both popular opinion and the experts say you're full of shit. The facts, the results on the field, everything. The only things you've got going in favor of your argument are complete denial of reality and unrelenting obsession.
Answer me this one question, if you can: If Tom Brady is such a great QB, then why did he and the Patriots win FEWER games in 2009 than they did the year before, when his backup was starting in his place?
Brees: 6 of the top 100 passing seasons in NFL history (second-best all-time).
Brady: 4 of the top 100 passing seasons in NFL history.
Manning: 11 of the top 100 passing seasons in NFL history.
