I get that. Maybe it did. I'm not familiar with the details of the bill. However, good luck trying to pass a bill that doesn't allow the public sector unions to hold the government (and, by extension, the taxpayers) hostage and have it NOT be characterized as going too far. The unions always scream bloody murder when they don't get everything they want.

My point was more of a response to the notion that John Kasich is some sort of extraordinarily bad character. I thought it was somewhat humorous that the guy in the video you posted went out of his way to point out that Kasich is a good guy who deserved to be re-elected.

Well, that would be becuase Cunningham is a right wing radio commentator. Its the same guy that McCain rebuked for his "Barack HUSSEIN! Obama" thing. If you want videos depicting Kasich as a shithead, I will by all means oblige.

And regarding your complaint that the Unions would claim any bill restricting their rights was going too far... propose raising taxes 1% on the wealthiest 1% and prepare your ears for the cacophany of chants of "socialist!" or "communist!" or best yet "nazis!"

I would love to see more videos proving Kasich is a shithead, especially if they're as compelling as the Kasich hates cops video that was posted ealier. And isn't Obama's middle name, in fact, Hussein? It's funny that people are sensitive about that.

Apples and oranges. I would argue with that and I'm not one of the top 1%. So I don't have a personal vested interest -- the way union members (and the politicians who rely on their support) do with regard to collective bargaining rights. Go ahead and raise taxes on the top 1%. They can certainly afford it and it probably won't have any direct effect on me. The problem is that raising taxes on anybody doesn't address the fundamental issues that are hindering the economy. That's why I would disagree with it.

Did I say I was sensitive about it? I said McCain rebuked Cunningham for it.

See how he treats Jack Atherton of Cincinnati's channel 5. Cincinnati (Hamilton County really) is the conservative anchor of the state. Home of the Taft's. Jack Atherton is far from some liberal media elite, yet Kasich acts like Jack Atherton is Keith Olberman. This interview is what convinced my mom that Kasich was a jerk of a human being (regardless of political affiliation).

Bullshit, it is not apples and oranges in any way shape or form. Corporations fight tooth and nail any regulation that will cost them a penny. Wall Street fights tooth and nail against any reform that would cost them money. You think that is perfectly fine, but if Union's fight tooth and nail to keep concessions that they have spent decades of blood, sweat, and tears to win, somehow they are evil. Fuck you.

Here's a racist thought for the board....why don't say, George Soros....Michael Moore...and Algore, along w/membership pool their resources(millions and billions) and buy some company? Invest, take the risk and run their own business. They could have the highest pay and the best benefits in the Milky Way, thus showing the 1%, and the rest of us, just how right they are.

This old saw again. sigh Maybe because they aren't businessmen. How about instead we look at a real life example of two companies. Both turn a profit. One makes profit the only goal. The other...

LMAO. Don't get angry at me because you're too stupid to understand how the two examples are different. And those videos were as retarded as anything I could have imagined you would post. There's absolutely nothing I could post here that could make the point more clearly that Kasich is a pretty typical politician -- just one that you (and your mother -- LMFAO @ how he treated poor Jack Atherton!) don't like.

It's way more than me and my mother. But again, just make up bullshit and lies because it doesn't fit into your worldview- Union's looking out for their membership = Evil. Rich people looking out for their money = good.

Oh, I have no doubt that more than just you and your mom dislike Kasich. And of course it's perfectly alright not to want to support someone whose policies you don't agree with. But pretending like he's some kind of villain and then offering little to no evidence to back it up is just silly.

Humor me and tell me what, specifically, Kasich did in that interview that proves he is a jerk. How was he rude to the interviewer? I just didn't see anything objectionable there.

I hear a lot of the same kind of criticism of Obama and it just strikes me as ridiculous. As far as I can tell, he seems like a nice guy. I'm very likely to disagree with his politics, but that's as far as it goes.

I didn't make up the idea that Kasich is an asshole. Just because you (someone who is not as familiar with the Ohio governor as myself let alone the people who live in Ohio) don't like that people find him hateable, doesn't mean that a large percentage of people find him hateable above and beyond his politics. Its reality, you disagreeing with it doesn't make it so.

His bill got crushed. A certain percentage of that is because it was a bad bill. But another percent of it is that people don't like the man behind the bill (see the >50% of people earning 100K or more (in Ohio) who also voted against the bill.)
