Would it still be idiotic if the Phils win 110 games, sell out their arena for 81 games, make it to the World Series, win the whole thing, turn an insane profit and Papelbon closes games 4 and 7 en route to an MVP?

Then, let me take down the huge "what if?" down to something a bit more basic.

If the Phils win the World Series, regardless of who played well, or not, every personnel decision they made was worth it.

That being said the Phils are stupid. His contract passes B.J. Ryan as the highest for a relief pitcher. Anyone remember B.J. Ryan?
