I believe I said it first, Kevi:

Touche', AA. I was hoping you'd forgotten about your omniscience, but I guess omniscience in and of itself precludes that.

Due credit. He is one of those players who is so natural that people don't notice him. But he shows up all over the field and at the end of the game his numbers speak for his production. If we had a team full of guys playing at his level, we would not have 5 losses right now, I'll tell you that.

I can't believe I missed this post.

Are you serious?! You seem to have forgotten Randy Sanders last season as the o-cooridnator at Tennessee. There were several games where it appeared we couldn't complete a pass longer than 5 yards. Heck, the 5 and unders were quite interesting as well. I never saw the defenses of opposing teams break a sweat that season. At least Whorley completed some beautiful passes downfield Saturday even if a couple were to the wrong players.

We are bad right now but not that bad.

The one thing that was frustrating watching the UT game Saturday was that they seemed to always be 1 yard short on third and long. I don't know if the receivers need a remedial lesson on going PAST the chains before making their cut but that was painful to watch.

It's a tough road, but the process and transformation that Tennessee is going through is solid. Make no mistake, Dooley is implementing the Saban System. The issue is, unless you have a stable of good LBs to go with a physical defensive line and a bowling ball of a RB to go with an aggressive and deep offensive line, you'll have some time until those players can be recruited and coached up.

You can say Dooley got a raw deal with the losses of Hunter and Bray, but then what? He still has to coach what's available to him...and he did a poor job of it Saturday imo. The timing issues and illegal procedures, having to call TOs...we looked confused and ill-prepared. The play-calling was uninspired - not that it was all that inspired when we were healthy. The faked kick to open the 2nd half was dumb. And obviously whatever the coaches thought they saw in Worley during practices didn't materialize in the game.

The sad thing is, USC begged us to take control of the game away from them and we couldn't get out of our own way. If the Ark/cocks line is less than 10 points, then I'm betting a second lock this year. Petrino is pissed at his hogs lackluster play and I predict they'll get well at home in a big way...something like 38-10.

Not so fast, tick. Arkie does not like pressure. Teams that have pressured them hard (Bama, Ole Miss, Vandy) have had success. The Hogs *should be* 0-3 in those games, instead of 2-1.

I think SoCar will send pressure, too. That's been their MO all year.

I thought Clowney and Ingram would rack up half a dozen sacks against us, but they were shut out. There was one sack total.

I like Arky's OL much better than ours, not to mention their qb, receivers and running backs. And the cocks are giving away turnovers in bunches and that'll likely cost them at least 3 tds next Saturday.

Did I say 38-10? Make it 45-10..

Anyway. Whatever.

I just heard that Brent Brewer's injury is a torn ACL -- out for the season.

Unbelievable.
