My comment is that Ivan Maisel needs a telescope to find a clue.

By and large the Ags that will be making road trips will be of the former student variety, but standing will probably happen in the section allotted for visitors. What I'll be interested to see is how many trips the band will make...hopefully folks will step up and contribute enough to allow them to visit each SEC venue at least once.

Now that it's official, I'm hopeful that the schedule will be out fairly soon. If A&M plays at Tennessee, Vanderbilt or Georgia next year, I'm planning on going.

I have been to one Aggie game: the 1986 Cotton Bowl. The Aggie fans sure had a lot of spirit. I liked the WWII throwback uniforms, the collie, and the weird cheers.

Sherrill pretty much ruined Bo's last game as a Tiger.

I like Jackie. How can you NOT like a football coach who uses his country boy background to castrate a longhorn steer, right in front of his players, just before they played the University of Texas? That's pretty cool in my book.

That was a huge win for us. We looked competent on defense for the first time this season. I thought Lattimore would run all over us, but we contained him pretty well. Trotter played hot and cold, but in the end he got the job done. It didn't hurt that a couple of close calls from the ref's went our way.

We may make it to Shreveport after all.

Gotta admit that my expectations for a win were practically non-existent. The October death march won't look quite so bleak now. That's 11 SEC wins in a row, amazingly enough.

Ted Roof got a reprieve after this weekend.

I also didn't think we had a chance to win.

I saw Chizik getting in Roof's face late in the game. I imagine the former DC and now HC has been doing a lot of that recently. Maybe that's why our defense looked pretty good all of a sudden.

Thanks for leaving the door slightly open for us to have a chance to win the East, though that might be a moot point now.

Ghost, it really doesn't matter who wins the east. Either Bama or LSU will violate them in Atlanta.

Well, that was not entirely unexpected.

A worse whipping than that awaits in two weeks in Baton Rouge.

Maybe we can beat a wounded Florida team at home...maybe.

Both Bonfired and GBJ are correct.

Next week's Auburn vs. Florida game should be called the "Who Sucks Less? Bowl."

Today is the first CFB poll since the early 1980's where no team from the state of Florida is ranked in the top 25.

I have no idea what to expect Saturday...our QB hasn't been setting the world on fire and Florida's QB situation is shaky right now.

That said, it's one of those "backs-against-the-wall" games for Florida and they'll be ready for us. Some of the plays that didn't work against better defenses like Alabama's and LSU's have a much better chance of working against our D.

The homer in me sez we'll win by a FG, but I won't be surprised if Florida wins by a good margin. A blowout in our favor doesn't seem likely.

If we play like we played last Saturday, we'll lose. For us to win, three things need to happen:

1. Trotter needs to throw the ball to the receivers, not just somewhere close enough to avoid a grounding penalty.

2. If/when, #1 somehow happens, the receivers need to actually catch the ball.

3. We need to drastically reduce the number of false starts and other mental penalties. These mistakes will kill whatever drives our shaky offense manages to put together.

If we can do these things, we have a chance.

Leave Trotter alone. He is the model of efficiency. Alabama has won many MNCs with an efficient qb. Pay no attention to the 5* mostly on the bench. He is window dressing from recruiting national championship. (if you believe scout) Your coaching staff is developing players just fine. At LEAST as well as Fulmer over his last few years.

Trotter is a good guy but not nearly talented enough to play QB in the SEC. In that regard, Trotter is typical of many of Tubby's recruits, that are now Jr's and Sr's.

Thankfully, our trials and tribulations are temporary. Frazier is getting some quality playing time. Zeke Pike will arrive next year, unless he takes a sudden interest in Yukons and Chargers. Chizik's 4-5 stars will play better than Tubby's 2-3 stars when they grow up.

You should have a very solid o line if they all stay healthy until their senior season.

As at most positions, we're just waiting for the highly-rated freshman and sophomore O-linemen grow up. There's plenty of raw talent there. Our upcoming O-line class is looking very promising so far too.
