Depends on how much pressure your d line gets on the center of their o line.
Other than that, it'll be more like Shock and Awe...

EVERY DAMN CENT.

Even in the dim light of Nick Saban's office—where the shades are usually drawn, as if to conceal secrets—the ring gleams on a coffee table. Propped up in a black case, it's the diamond-studded reward for Alabama's 2009 national championship, and the memento is the first thing prospective recruits notice when they enter Saban's spacious inner sanctum. This is where he puts the hard sell on blue-chip players, and his pitches have been wildly successful: Over the last four years, according to Rivals.com, the Tide has earned the No. 1--recruiting ranking three times and signed more four- and five-star players (73) than any other team. Many of these acclaimed recruits have now matured into starters, and on the defense alone there are seven players who are projected to be either first- or second-round picks in next April's draft. No D has ever yielded that many choices over the first three rounds in at least 35 years.
"It's like you're playing a defense from the NFC South when you go against Alabama," says an offensive coordinator on a team that has played the Tide this season. "After studying them and seeing them up close, I can honestly say they have no weak spots. Their linemen are monsters. Their linebackers look like linemen. Their safeties look like linebackers. Their corners are big. And all of them are incredibly fast—NFL fast. On top of that, they are the most disciplined, gap-sound team I've ever faced, which means they're never out of position. Saban is as good of a defensive mind as I've ever come across."

Re: Alabama Crimson Tide
Apparently, the University of Alabama is opposed to Mizzou joinging the conference. We are wanting, instead, to steal a team from the ACC.

I tend to agree. A team like Clemson would be a much better fit, IMO. Missouri does nothin' for me.

Nobody "wants" Mizzou. Someone will "end up with" Mizzou. It's like closing time at the bar...you've been hitting on all the good looking chicks all night but they are gone. You have to settle for what you can get. I think Mizzou ends up staying in the Big 12...whatever it ends up being. With TCU being added they need BYU and SMU possibly to get to 12. Don't see Boise coming but it could happen I guess. They want to get back to 12...but they will settle for 10 for now.

Re: Alabama Crimson Tide
Part of me would love to have Clemson or FSU - or perhaps both - join the SEC. But the problem is, the more good programs in the SEC, the less likely it is that the SEC champion can make it through a season undefeated, therefore less likely to play for the NC against teams that play a one or two game schedule.
I don't see the point of adding new teams just for the sake of adding new teams because everybody else is. I'd rather have a smaller but elite conference than a conference that looks like a phone book.

Agreed again. I'd prefer a team who would fit in the east division...I'd hate to see our rivalry with UT or AU turned into a once every 5 year thing during the regular season. TSIO is as big to me as the Iron Bowl.Hacksaw wrote:I tend to agree. A team like Clemson would be a much better fit, IMO. Missouri does nothin' for me.

Wiz, a phone book has lots of names in it - like the new megaconferences.

Re: Alabama Crimson Tide
It was 7-0, Bama with 2 minutes left before half. Their defense can play. We scored more points on Florida and Arkansas than we did on Vandy.

It was 14-0 at the half.AlabamAlum wrote:No way. Give me Vandy and 30 points for the first half, I'll even give you 2:1 odds. What do you want to wager?
It'll be something like 21-7 or 17-0 or so...
