Heck we could be significantly better than last year and still go 0-4 over the next 4 games.
True.

And Carolina lost today. South Carolina was trying to get into FG distance with 8 seconds or so left in the game. They needed about 6 or 7 yards. They ran a play, SC completed a pass for the necessary yards and the receiver hit the ground meaning the player was down and the play was over. The refs blew the game over. Looking at the replay, the receiver may, and I emphasize may, have hit the ground with one second left to play on the clock. However, like all plays, there typically is an extra second or two that ticks by on the clock before it comes to an end. Spurrier begged for a second to be put on the clock and I thought at first the refs were going to do it. I felt like throwing up.

When the game is called, the game is over for Pete's sake. If Spurrier had gotten his second on the clock, I would've threw my TV out the window. I like my TV. Luckily, the refs had a conference and decided to end the game. Somebody needs to talk to the refs and let them all know when the game is over, it's over!!

Sitting here having watched most of the 'bama-FL game. 'bama looks freaking awesome. Saban is fairly young and will be at 'bama for a while more than likely. He could replace the Gay Bear in the lore of the land down there in redneck heaven before his tenure is up.

Nick Saban will be 60-years-old in a couple of weeks.

The 1 second at the end of the Carolina game was a non-issue. Stopping the clock on a 1st down is not that precision instantaneous, and even if it had been stopped, it would have been started again before a field goal team could line up and snap the ball.

I see what you are saying GG. Carolina did have a time out left, though. Plus, the play resulted in a first down if I recall correctly so movement of the chains would've stopped the clocked for a bit. Still, with only one second left that would've been burned to call a timeout. I guess the game would've ended.

What bothered me though was it appeared for a brief period of time the refs were even considering letting it happen. We saw this #$%^ two times with us last year: when the game is called the game is over!!

Carolina was out of time outs.

The time runs until a ref waves. If there is an unreasonable delay after a play, it can be reviewed, and time put on the clock. That did not happen here. Good no call.

Hey guys. I haven't been to a game in years but the wife and I are gonna try to go this week for UGA.

I realize I need 2 seats for my lard bucket, but what I want to know if you can still get a good deal on them pregame in front of the stadium like we used to?

I will need 3 together and don't want to pay over 300 bucks on stubhub, plus I can't be sure I can make it so that puts the prebought tickets as a big risk.

(1) Call a sales rep (like one trying to sell your hospital a Davinci arm), (2) tell him/her you need tickets. (3) Thank me later

LOL, my hospital is so small I can't even get a stapler rep. Remember I went to a tiny hospital, we have 28 beds for the entire Med/Surg.

They could have lined up and thrown one to the endzone, though. Seems kind of weird that in this age of replaying every friggin' play that the clock would be allowed to expire when there was clearly time left on the clock after the guy's knee hit the ground.

I think it was a good call. The clock doesn't stop until the ref waves it dead. Except for Texas, no one gets a second put back on the clock in those situations.
