I'm almost to the point where I don't really care about the regular season. I watch the games but I don't really get too fired up or disappointed except for the big ones, which is basically Duke, UK, Kansas or whatever rotating ACC team that thinks they're hot shit in any given year and needs slapping down. You could throw UConne or UCLA in there but we usually don't play them in the regular season. Barely care about the ACC tourny unless it's Dook or the hot shit team that year that needs slapping down (if there even is one). Basically if we don't make it to the FF, I consider the season a dud, if we do make it to the FF, it doesn't really matter what happened during the season although obviously I do not want any loss to Dook anytime, but of course unless and until they beat us in the tourny, we have the all time trump card against them. Beating them in Derm for K's last home game ever wasn't bad either. I will admit I was kinda bummed out that we lost to Bama in the tourny last year, we definitely should've beaten them and gotten to the FF. Oh well..

I care about the conference tournament. Watching the ACC teams go at it 10 days before madness begins is nice. And the first couple weeks of the season against the huge OOC opponents in November is interesting. Other than that, I agree with you hedge.
