Without power and cell service until just an hour ago. I’m in Jackson County up on the plateau near Cashiers. We’re higher up so we didn’t have as much flooding as Asheville, Hendersonville, and those communities along the French Broad river. If you are familiar with Lake Lure and the Chimney Rock village area, it is gone. Google before and after pics of Chimney Rock to see what happened. Having no power and cell service for 3 days is mentally insane these days.

A HS friend of mine lives in Black Mountain…she posted this on FB this morning…I don’t know the area, but some of you might.

Quick update while I have service.
First, thanks to everyone who has reached out - I am trying to conserve batteries and have very spotty cell so updating here.
First- I am grateful to have any cell at all. I am one of the few and I believe it is cause of where I am on mountain. Faye and I are completely safe.
With that said, we have very limited food but my neighbor Kathy is sharing.i was able to walk down the mountain today. Just complete heartbreak- I cried the whole way. Just devastating but I was created by people making there way down from highway 9. Some had been walking for hours down very dangerous paths. Total devestation up 9.
We have no power, electricity, internet and area has no water.
No way in or out at the moment. Seems many stranded drivers have taken over BMT and unfortunately the Ingels and our gas station was broken into.
I am fortunate but worried. We are in need of food and gas - and water.
With that said - there are so many at a total loss. Entire communities around us are just gone.
I will update when able. Thanks for the prayers. Faye and I are making it.

Just got back from my 40th high school reunion. Stu didn't go. Or, more like it, wasn't allowed to go. I talked to the girl he fucked in 9th grade (which is why Stu wasn't allowed to go to the reunion) while me and Logan and another guy, Larry Dean Webb (a senior who drove the school bus) watched from the closet. She's still hot. Stu not so much. Later that year Larry Dean trapped Stu on the bus after we had pulled into the school parking lot, I think he was humping Stu on one of the seats. While he had Stu pinned down, he farted badly. Stu was forced to inhale Larry Dean's rancid bowel air. When in the final frenzy of a dying man who has one last exertion left in him he was able to free himself from Larry Dean's clutches, he staggered off the bus and when he stepped onto the pavement, he vomited profusely. Me and Logan fled....

Below where you post when in the full editor, theres two tabs at the bottom. "Options" where it shows like "Disable BBCode" and "Disable smilies" among other things and another tab next to Options which you can click for "Attachments"

Clicking attachments takes you to a button to "Add files" and if you click while on your phone, you can select your photos (or at least you can on iOS, not sure about Android, but I assume its the same)
