Fogerty is awesome. His music comes from a place of power, some of it anyway. Even reminds me a little of AC/DC. There's hope for you yet, Dave.

I don't really go in for the nostalgia acts, but I'd make an exception for Thoroughgood. Fogerty is a genius...

Fogerty just got the rights back to all of his back catalog. He couldn’t stop talking about it all night, and he couldn’t stop smiling playing all of his classic material. It really was a great night.

I got introduced to George Thorogood on that old sketch comedy show called Fridays.

They had some cutting edge artists on back then. The Plasmatics, Devo, The Clash. I'm sure there were others
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

I think Fridays was the first place I heard the Jim Carroll song “People Who Died”.

I also remember seeing Buffett and the Stray Cats on there, I think…

Damn, haven't heard Jim Carroll's name in awhile. The Basketball Diaries was one of my first forays into punk/rebel/fucked up druggie lit. It has proven a rich mine. Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Bukowski, so many others...

Saw Megadeth recently. They were good but not great. Never had the songwriting that Metallica had, but their guitar playing is spot on. Dave vs. James for second guitar is like MJ vs Leflop. Rock on, brahs.
