You'll have no trouble extending your streak against 'tucky this year - so you have that going for you, which is nice.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
It appears that UNC has become the first team to lose as a result of the rule change that was made because of their bullshit "win" in the MCB against us at the end of last season. I wish that made me feel better about that game.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
Sat, Sept 3 vs Montana W,42-16
Sat, Sept 10 vs Cincinnati W,45-23
Sat, Sept 17 @ #16 Florida L,33-23
Now that we're 3 games in, I thought I would look at the rest of our schedule and reassess my gut feelings for the remainder of the season:
Sat, Oct 1 vs Buffalo 12:30 PM ET -- Inferior opponent; home game; 2 weeks to heal and prep; lessons and experience from FL game; we win big (making us 3-1)
Sat, Oct 8 vs Georgia -- UGA hasn't looked that tough so far this season; home game for us; expecting a tough game, but a win (4-1)
Sat, Oct 15 vs #2 LSU -- LSU might be the best team in the country; home game improves our chances (but not by much); absolutely no one will give us a chance in this game, but after watching WVU's QB pass for 460+ yards against them who knows? (realistically, we are 4-2 after this game)
Sat, Oct 22 @ #3 Alabama -- If LSU isn't the best team in the country, then Alabama might be; on the road; about as tough a back-to-back as you could imagine (4-3)
Sat, Oct 29 vs #12 South Carolina -- Probably the shakiest looking great team this year; home game for us; had a lot of success against them in the past; expect a thriller (5-3)
Sat, Nov 5 vs Middle Tennessee -- It's Middle...they're 0-3 right now, they'll prolly be 2-5 or 3-4 by the time we meet them; home game (6-3)
Sat, Nov 12 @ #14 Arkansas -- Way too soon to tell, but Arky looks good and we have to play them in Fayetteville; we could be a completely different team by the time this game is played and so could they; right now it looks like a L (6-4)
Sat, Nov 19 vs Vanderbilt -- Vandy's D is for real, but their offense isn't threatening; home game for us; it's friggin' Vandy (7-4)
Sat, Nov 26 @ Kentucky -- Kats looked terrible in Week 1 and haven't done much since to change the perception; on the road, but we should still roll (8-4)
Sat, Sept 10 vs Cincinnati W,45-23

I can go with your predictions but I wouldn't be suprised if we went 6-6 either after losing Hunter.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
And Micheal Vick breaks his hand and appears to be out for a while. Imagine that. A scrambling QB. In the NFL. Who appears to get hurt. Often. Wow. I'm shocked. Shocked I tell ya!!

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
Texas A&M is joining the SEC in July. I wonder if Arkansas will leave the SEC and join the Big 12 now as they said they would do?

I started to paste an article or two for you to look at. However, I'm not your @#$% research assistant you slack jawed Gerbil. Do a search on Google and Yahoo for articles and proof.Jungle Rat wrote:I was talking about your Arkansas comment you dumb fuck. Even my dead grandma knows a&m is going to the SEC. The Big 12 has made an offer to Arkansas to do such a thing. Arkansas was considering it. It appears they have turned the offer down for the short term but things could change.
The interesting thing is Spurrier is now talking up Carolina leaving, if Arkansas should go, and join the ACC. It's just him saying that, not the school but it's still intersting.

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
I think it's a great idea gule. Gives us some visibility in Texas' market and brings in some new blood. Texas A&M is a fine school with a great program who will add to our collective.... errr... I meant conference. hehehe
I wonder if we'll find another school to make our conference even? Perhaps we should finally dump Kentucky or Vandy? It's not like either one of them appears to give a @#$% anyway. I assume Texas A&M will join the west?

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
One thing that cuts through the SEC's silence about adding a 14th team (or dumping someone to stay at 12) is the mathematical fact that the conference cannot function in football as a 2-division 13-team conference. If everyone plays their division rivals once, then the West teams have one less game than East teams to play across division. Something is going to give between now and July, and likely earlier

Re: Tennessee Volunteers
I say we boot Candy. It hates me to say this about a Tenn. team, but those yuppies can't even fill a stadium up. At least KY seems to care. They just can't get their act together.
Or perhaps we should consider letting Memphis in the SEC...
