For the majority of the last 30 years, the Heisman was simply the MVP on the best team in college football. It was pretty straight forward. Who is the best player on the undefeated USC, FSU, or Alabama team? That is (or should I say, was) your Heisman.

Lately, the selection committee seems not to worry about those parameters.
