The worst belief I've ever had was that people should be able to do drugs if they want to, and I've obviously already been in the crosshairs and paid the price. I knew the risks, but I bought the ticket and took the ride. You seem to have a soft spot (to say the least) for people like David Koresh and those yahoos out in Wyoming or wherever the hell they were who thought they should get free grazing rights (or whatever the fuck they thought they deserved) and folks like that. Maybe even the unibomber or the guy who blew up the building in Oklahoma City. Not sure about those last two, even you might've been wary to express support of them, even in here.

I'm satisfied that my moral compass is true. I'm sure you are, too. I know you're a good person, but we're just on polar opposite sides as to our views of what's going on in the country right now. I'm sure it's going to end like a fart in a hurricane and the next generation's thoughts and feelings about anything to do with Trump will be similar to the way we feel about the Teapot Dome scandal. I have no fucking idea what even the most general issue was in that case, but I'm sure plenty of people's whole identity was tied up in it at the time. As Ann Coulter said, if we didn't have a socialist state where the money in my pocket is used to pay for your healthcare after you do your drugs, then I wouldn't care. Then I would agree, de-criminalize drugs. But no. That is not the nation in which we live. If you take drugs and fuck up your health to the point where you have to be cared for, for the rest of your life, I am supporting you. Since that is the case, then the drugs must remain criminalized.

Responding to a new law allowing for "pornographic" books to be removed from school libraries, a Utah parent has moved to have "one of the most sex-ridden books around" removed as well, namely, the Bible.

The Salt Lake Tribune reports that the parent, who remains unidentified for privacy reasons, submitted their challenge on Dec. 11 along with an eight-page list of passages from the Bible that they found to be offensive and worth reviewing.

“Incest, onanism, bestiality, prostitution, genital mutilation, fellatio, dildos, rape, and even infanticide,” the parent wrote in their request. “You’ll no doubt find that the Bible, under Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-1227, has ‘no serious values for minors’ because it’s pornographic by our new definition.”
