that's the price of freedom. If its a lie, you prosecute the lie, but you don't limit Americans ability to say it. You're allowed to lie, allowed to be wrong, allowed to say the world is flat, the moon landing was faked and aids is a curse from god

because in all those voices, somewhere there is a voice of truth - the guy saying vaccines aren't as advertised, that blacks put their own people into slavery, trickle down economics works, crime is worse now than when we were a kid, etc

and people like you would rather it be silenced so you can have your world view of how things should be and who gets to talk

I just have to laugh at these so-called rightwing conservatives who are blabbering about free speech now. These are the exact same people that prosecuted and persecuted people like Lenny Bruce from saying "fuck" onstage, but now they're pretending to be the champions of free speech. Not buying it for a second. Free speech for them but not for anybody else. They're just pissed they were defeated on the Lenny Bruce "fuck" issue but that's not going to stop them from shutting somebody else down who's saying shit they don't like. It's what they do, it who they are, it's all they are. But this crying over "free speech" by these moralistic hypocrite fascists is pathetic, even for them. But their tears do taste sweet....

Btw, the ACLU successfully defended Lenny Bruce. Something I'm not sure they would do today if they felt he was insulting the LBGTQ community with his use of the word cocksucker
