Georgia's play on Saturday was the equivalent of Ball State playing Wisconsin. They get no exclusive attention within the weekly picks until further notice. UC has to prove to me that they've found a defense. The last two seasons, even during their 11-2 campaign under Kelly, saw some pretty ragtag defenses. Until then, I can't trust them to beat a BCS school on the road, even the Fightin' Pat Summits.

Arizona is missing Brooks Reed a lot more than I thought. Their current group of pass rushers look slow. Ah, screw it. They look bad across the board, minus a couple of solid hits that ultimately didn't change anything.

Green Bay made that first drive look about as easy as the Texans did against the Saints on their opening drive in the pre-season. Maybe the Saints have a few issues on defense going into 2011.

Clete Blakeman is a former Nebraska QB...he officiated in the Big 12 for years...but wanted off the University of Texas' payroll. He took a paycut to officiate in the NFL.
