It is one thing to talk about the problem of divorce and broken homes, but why all of the anger? This is very similar to a question posed by a commenter named Brigitte on the blog’s about page:

Why does a “happily married father” spend so much energy on the topic of divorced women?

Both share the same basic premise; so long as it isn’t you or your own children being sent through the meat grinder, who cares? My response back to Brigitte was:

You are asking why I care. I would ask why you don’t.

I’ll pose the same question back to Ms. Duffy and the commenters who are troubled by the fact that people are angry with the gross injustice which is being done to men, children, and the very institution of marriage: Why don’t you care? Why aren’t you angry?

Anger is an entirely healthy response to gross injustice. Apathy on the other hand is an indication of a profound inability to feel empathy, perhaps even masking a strong level of personal investment in maintaining the injustice itself.

Your apathy to gross injustice is disgusting, repulsive. As Dalrock said, if you simply shrug your shoulders to the gross injustice that others face (not your problem) then YOU become part of the problem. Once again rat, this is one more thing that makes me a better person than you.

I wish more of you right wing Christian fucks would do the same.

Right wing Christian fucks know that no-fault-divorce is disgusting and brought ruin to the United States. It has obliterated poor and (increasingly) middle class people. They wind up miserable like you rat. Maybe one day, you will catch up and understand that which is so fucking obvious.

Well, at this point, the only question is who are your now young adult children allies with? Do they freely spend time with their mother and with you equally, have they written one of you (or the other) off, or do they not associate with either of you?

The best man at my wedding, his wife divorced him. His now adult children want nothing to do with their mother. They are only in his life and told her to go to hell for what she did to him.

See?

Yeah. If mom hires DS, fucks over dad, and ruins his life by divorcing him needlessly, children remember that shit. Because its not just dad that she ruins.
