It doesn’t always work. Bankruptcy judges can throw the petition out for bullshit, and I imagine the petitions for Jones and his companies are already being scrutinized to the hilt.

I like that you can NOT discharge your student loans with bankruptcy. If you could, all kids would do it.

I certainly hope the family collects. Jones needs to be held liable for being an asshole. When his producer took the stand, she had no idea what the fuck she was saying and was not the least bit prepared for cross examination. She kept saying her priority was to make sure that she put people on who were "click bait." And that is Alex Jones' defense in all of this. He is saying initially that he denied that Sandy Hook ever happened because the people on the show were "credentialed experts" and they said Sandy Hook was all bullshit. Well, they were proven to be liars and now Jones may be held financially liable.
