Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.

Strange though it may seem, with Parker, Taylor, Wilson, and Ponder gone, the Maryland Terrapins are probably in the strongest quarterback position in the ACC going into the 2011 season.

How'd you like Atlas Shrugged, IB? Most reviews say it's a piece of shit, which means you loved it. B/c you're a piece of shit. Get it? Shit face? My shit, your face. Lick it clean, boy...

I liked the movie, but what I would really have liked is for you to comment about Maryland's QB situation. Sadly, it appears you are functionally incapable of discussing college football. As a result, I think you are about to go back on ignore.hedge wrote:How'd you like Atlas Shrugged, IB? Most reviews say it's a piece of shit, which means you loved it. B/c you're a piece of shit. Let me offer a bit of advice. Stop being obsessed with other people. Stop feeling like you are entitled to more than what you have. And try and have a nice life.

Re: Maryland Terrapins
It won't end up that way - EJ Manuel is going to be phenomenal, if the O-Line can be nearly as good as last year. Fisher turned a guy (Ponder) as a legacy QB whose job was to raise the team GPA and hold a clipboard, and turned him into a first round draft choice. Manuel is the first guy Fisher really wanted, and is going to be special. If he goes down, we're fucked though.innocentbystander wrote:Strange though it may seem, with Parker, Taylor, Wilson, and Ponder gone, the Maryland Terrapins are probably in the strongest quarterback position in the ACC going into the 2011 season.

that kid at Md tore us a new asshole last year.
U*NC is the cleanest most honest athletic program on the planet. I am jealous of their deserved success, and I'm a mewling cunt.

Trickett needs some time but at the spring game he looked like he could step in for EJ without much drop offKeviNole wrote:It won't end up that way - EJ Manuel is going to be phenomenal, if the O-Line can be nearly as good as last year. I think he's the best QB in the ACC. Of course, that probably isn't saying much. The QB situation in our conference (for 2011) totally blows. I'm guessing (at the end of the season) that the number one offense in the ACC will probably be ranked about 35th, nationally. I'll call that right now.

Re: Maryland Terrapins
He also had a 2nd round WR to throw to. This year's group is much less experienced - he's going to struggle a bit.
The talented receivers for FSU are also young, except maybe for Rodney Smith, but Fisher's offense is designed to spread the ball around. We'll be a Top 20 offense for the 3rd straight year, and with another much improved defense to take some pressure off, this team will be very good and have a run at the MNC in 2012.
And Trickett needs to eat a sammich. He'd be serviceable if called into action but the future will have to be Coker in 2013.

Re: Maryland Terrapins
To put it another way:
Last year, Maryland returned 100% of its receiving yards from 2009. FSU had 45% of its yards returning.
This year, Maryland returns 36% of its receiving yards from 2010. FSU returns 100%.
Receiver experience makes a marked difference to a QB's success.

For what it's worth, BC returned 22% of its receiving yardage last year, 78% this year.
Want to take bets on a significant increase in offensive efficiency at BC?

I thought we returned 100% of the receiving yardage. Must have been a lot of dumps to the fullbacks because I don't think we had any senior WRs, TEs, or tailbacks.KeviNole wrote:For what it's worth, BC returned 22% of its receiving yardage last year, 78% this year.

We are going to know (pretty much right away) if we are going to be good, mediocre, or just suck. We open at home against Northwestern and (probably) Dan Persa, if he recovers from his injuries. I think he will.

Those unis are giving me vertigo.
Under Armour might want to take another pass at its challenge of Nike. The tortoise shell helmets weren't half bad. I get the Terrapin connection. But what link does UMd have to Metamorpho?
