None of it's surprising, but the worst thing about McCarthy's shit talking on Trump is that he just straight up lied about it and got exposed as a total liar a few hours later. If he lied about that, he'd lie to you about anything. Also, McCarthy is one of those that invited Cawthorn to coke orgies.

McConnell keeps getting elected, as he should be by the people of Kentucky, b/c he brings home more pork than almost any other senator. He also pretty much single-handedly got 2 extreme conservatives on the Supreme Court that shouldn't be there by any standard of fairness. What else do you want?

They have payroll to cover in the millions per day. They have thousands of animals to feed at the largest animal park in the world. They probably pay more than a million dollars to the IRS every day. Debt service on all land and infrastructure on those 40 square miles, probably more than a million dollars a day just in interest. They pull in tens of millions of dollars (every day) at Disney World. Tens of millions.

They are not closing.... anything. Nothing stops, nothing.

Desantis had some pretty good points

He is talking about how a corporation headquartered in California, puts human resources and money into developing a political agenda against the direction of state elected officials. in Florida

At that point they are fair game , and he points out they have been granted rights no other corporation in America has - they have the ability to bypass permits and construction codes. They could build structures that are unsafe and not be held to the same standards as any other Florida building. That is just one of many instances they have the freedom to do that normal Florida business do not.

The bottom line is Disney took a calculated stand, thinking it was politics as usual like California, Oregon and Washington.

Instead they invited themselves to be put under a microscope.

It was a HUGE miscalculation on their part and I'm 100% certain if they could do it over again they would not, regardless of what they say now.

DeSantis still has to answer to the residents of Orange county who will ultimately have to shoulder about $2800 per family in additional cost. His first priority after this passes is to get funding into that county to make up for the added cost of infrastructure maintenance Disney funded on their own.
