Just attended the first global quarterly meeting with my equivalents in other countries.

Had to dis-invite our Russian counterpart. Russian employees are essentially working in isolation as we have stopped business in their country.
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

I bought a TV about 10 years ago, a 55" thing

It was ok, but not great and I've been waiting for it to die so I could justify getting a new one

Last night it finally happened. I am 4K TV shopping today

I majored in Samsung, I’ll take this one…

Go to the next size up, probably 65”

Get a refresh rate of 120 minimum, watching live sports demands this

If you get the model that’s in the 500-700 $ range, you’ll be dissatisfied…go ahead to the 1000-1200:range

You can’t go wrong with a Samsung…LG is not bad as well…make sure the one you pick has the apps you want…Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, HBO Max, etc

Oh, and make sure it has enough HDMI ports for whatever you plan to attach to it…4 at a minimum…

And that the hdmi ports are 2.1. If not, you’re limited to 60hz at input for 4k.

Also, if you want to go OLED, go with LG, but Samsung’s QLED is damn nice too.

I've had a 4K 65" Sony since 2013. Still runs strong with little hiccups. I'm surprised it's still alive since I leave it on for the dog when I leave so it's always on. And yes, he does watch tv.

oh I did buy a Novaform 14" foam mattress from Costco this week

highly recommend. 20 year warranty.

I’ve read quite a bit about potential burn in with the OLEDs…my son went with one a year or so ago, though, and no problems yet…and he leaves it on for his dog as well…

The QLED is fantastic, but it comes with a premium price tag as well…not Magnolia room at Best Buy or anything like that, but still a bit more…

we bought some from amazon that were oversized - we had a 3" foam on top of a pillow top

and they fit well and don't come off.

I'm waiting for them to build a TV that you can plug in your computer and watch whatever is on the computer screen on the TV. But that will take a long plug...
