According to sources close to the situation, Mark Gottfried will be named the new men's basketball coach at NC State.
Gottfried, 47, was previously head coach at Murray State and Alabama, winning conference titles at both schools. He led the Crimson Tide to an Elite Eight appearance in 2004.

Gottfried resigned as head coach in 2009, and has been serving as a commentator the past two years.

NC State will be announcing its new head coach tonight at 5 pm. so stay tuned!

I still don't see an EKU logo on the home page. Somebody's not doing their job.

is there a max number of posts to a thread?
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

I can change the number of posts that display on a page, and I think I can set a max, but I think without doing so a thread will run forever. I'll check. Right now I'm in the middle of a header annoyance.

Right now we are displaying 20 posts per page. The only limit currently set is a 60,000 character per single post limit. I guess this thread will just keep growing until we retire it. Perhaps we could archive threads every year, to refresh things, or just let the topics grow forever.

I wonder how many couches Floater set on fire last night.
From the town of Possum's Paw, Alabama, standing 6'2" and weighing 150 lbs, the one, the only, the legend... Bootney Farnsworth.

I personally like to think that Floater planned a glorious and triumphant return to sass the goat pen and tried to log into worldcrossing right at the final buzzer last night.

Also, which of the users "the Original Hizzy" and "Hizzy III" is Horn Hizzy and which is Gator Hizzy?

EDIT* URL REMOVED. I dont want Barry Kort/Moulton deciding to look into why a bunch of people keep hitting up his site by linking from goatpen.net

So, is this what happened with klaatu's krazy skheme?

Does it work? Could it be used to save the worldcrossing format?
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Actually, I dont recommend going there. musenet.org is apparently that Barry Kort/Moulton/whoever freakshow's site. I think he's probably just been mirroring wc forums or servers? Who knows what the hell he's been doing. Anyhow, worldcrossing looks like its up now.

Apparently. I read this on the AFC East NFL forum, I guess the dynamic duo of Kort/Klaatu is going to keep the WX legacy going in some form. Can't imagine it's entirely altruistic, but the people at the AFC East forum are complete morons for the most part so I don't care to warn them:

Any WX forum will can be uploaded there.
The Forum Adm settings can be preserved.
It will look and act like WX.
Some features will not be implemented.
Most will be implemented gradually.
The upload process works, it needs a little tweaking. You should be able to start uploading this weekend.
The forums will be updated daily from WX until WX dies.
By next week, you can start testing the forum. Of course it will be buggy at first.
It will be free for now and will probably stay that way.
Each user will have to save his User Preferences to his computer and upload that to the forum. That will be simple, save your preferences page then upload to Civil Forums.
The User Preferences and Forum Admin features will be implemented gradually.
