TOUCHDOWN, TENNESSEE!!!

Vols 35, Griz 9

Final score:

Vols 42, Griz 16

Biggest disappointment has to be the OL. I was really hoping they would look much improved. But they obviously still have a long way to go before they are at the level of the upper echelon SEC OLs.

...a looong way to go.

Hack,

I was getting ready for church one Sunday morning, and a show called 'Portlandia' came on some cable channel. Anyway, the theme song is pretty hillarious, and I found it on youtube. You've probably heard it, but if not it's pretty good. Is it accurate? :-)

Wow. On the whole, I liked the game. However, the OL looked aweful. In fact, they maybe worse than last year's. WTF is up with Poole? I swear he was missing holes and running straight into a pile. Particularly early in the game.

How many fumbles did we have, 4?! That sucks.

We clearly have a ways to go. This could still be another long season. However, I enjoy watching my Vols, win or lose.

LSU looks like they are getting it done the SEC way against a solid opponent.

And, yes, the OL is pretty weak. Not getting a consistent 2 yard push against a 1-AA defense is a BAAAD sign.

I don't watch it, but my wife does. She likes it. From what little I've seen, the characters look like a bunch of weirdos. So yeah, I'd say it's probably pretty accurate.

I've driven through Portland a few times, and made a couple of day trips there to see clients, but never really seen the city. A Portland transplant I know describes it as Seattle 25 years ago in size and attitude.

Growing to a larger city took a lot of the 'weirdness' out of Seattle, for good and bad.

Portland's unofficial motto is: "Keep Portland Weird" -- and they're serious about that shit.

A little 'weirdness' is a good thing. Otherwise you end up a large, vanilla, boring city with zero personality and no real identity, ala Atlanta.

Too much is too much, however. I think Seattle hits the sweet spot in that regard. Just enough 'weirdness' to be interesting without being irritating.

I agree. I like Seattle. I like it better than Portland.
