you know he is not going to resign. But he understands the responsibility he accepted. I honestly believe that if he doesn't turn it around by end of next year, he starts a graceful exit strategy with the schoolThe Anti k* wrote: ↑Sat Dec 18, 2021 10:20 pm And thus, he should resign in disgrace.
Did you see our blowout loss to Tennessee? Exact same scenario — small guards abusing our two “McDonald’s All-Americans”.
But Duke will probably suck next year too. Davis just needs to do what Cal did - frontload the schedule with horrible teams to hide how bad it is until he can get it figured out. This year the goal should be to make the tournament as an 8 seed or better
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

I hate dook* more than anything on the planet, but they’re not going to suck next year. Lockjaw boy has the #1 recruiting class in the country. Carolina’s haul?
ToKOTEX’s younger brother at PG
Another cripple from Indiana (2nd knee surgery and out for the year)
A project big from Alabama
And a white kid from the smallest division of high school ball in Virginia…who has an “ANOMALY” tattoo and thinks he’s a big city baller.
We’re going to fucking crash to snother 8-20

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I just liked the way you put it ("another cripple from Indiana")
I hate to admit this, but I was watching the beginning of the game yesterday and we looked like shit but I was thinking we could easily make a run so I wasn't worried about it. Then I fell asleep (maybe 10 minutes into the game, maybe less) and then the MIF woke me up to go to a Christmas party. We picked up the kids and the son-in-law glumly told me that he had turned the game off with like 5 minutes to go and us down by like 30.
The part that I hate to admit was that when he told me that I didn't even care. I had put $50 on Carolina, so I cared a tiny bit about that, but I had just paid more for a belt that afternoon (one of the daughter's friends runs a little boutique and I was just trying to support her, plus her dad is my insurance agent), so clearly I didn't care that much about $50, but the fact that we had just lost to UK by 30 not only didn't enrage and embarrass me, I just really didn't care. That's kinda sad, I guess, but such was the case.
I know I'll still crow and preen when (or maybe at this point I should say if) we win, but the fact that we lost, and badly, to a team I hate (or used to hate, or thought I hated) almost as much as Duke simply didn't bother me. Maybe I'm just getting too old to care anymore, I don't know. But it kinda bugged me that I didn't care...

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
We looked outclassed athletically and skill-wise.
We went to a big black tie Christmas party, and I quit watching the game shortly into the second half. I moved onto the scotch because I finally accepted that Carolina basketball is in a death spiral.
I went to a friend’s house to “late night” with a bunch of friends while the wife went home. I didn’t make it home until 4am, and I had to come to Disney on Ice today.
I feel as bad as the team looked last night.
Congrats, eCat.
Thank God this wasn’t a soul crushing loss in the Elite 8 on a last second shot….

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
UNC will get rid of Davis in their passive aggressive way. Soon you’ll hear a secretary complain of workplace harassment and then there’ll be a behind the scenes ginning up of player mutiny.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I wouldn't be surprised to see the college basketball season put on hiatus for a month. Programs are having trouble fielding teams and if hospitals have more patients than they do staff to support it, they sure as hell don't want arenas all over the country filling up with fans twice a week.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
The way they handled March Madness this year was exceptional. Put all the teams in a bubble, one spot in Indy, isolate them from everyone, don't even let them out of their hotel rooms except to go to the arena to play, and get those tv cameras rolling. I expect more of the same this coming year.eCat wrote: ↑Mon Dec 20, 2021 1:09 pm I wouldn't be surprised to see the college basketball season put on hiatus for a month. Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I placed 4 bets the Sunday before the tournament began for four different individual teams to win the national championship. None of my 4 bets were on Gonzaga (since that only paid even money.) But one such bet was on Baylor (paid 9-to-1 before the tourney started.)
Cha-CHING!

Did you blow the whole $90 at Appleby's or did you put some aside to go to the local jackoff gallery?
