And no, still wrong AA. Does he have gaffes? Certainly. At about the expected level for someone who talks into a mic that often. Dubya is in a league of his own in this regard. And Bachman plays a different game entirely. Does she have gaffes? Yep, but at a clip slower than Dubya (hell, its probably much closer to Obama than Dubya). But I could give a shit about mixing up Elvis' birthday and deathday or where John Wayne was born. Her real magic is the crazy shit that she says and means... and being married to a flaming homo.

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
#1) The number of gaffes Obama has had is probably higher than you imagine, Mook. There are actually compilations of some of his biggest blunders, if you are so inclined.
#2) How likely you are to forgive or lambast a president is determined by which one you support and which one you hate. So, obviously, you forget and forgive Obama's.
#3) I have already ruled on this. Do not task me further.

Good lord. Go back to calling him a communist-nazi, you'd get better traction with that.
I have never called Obama a communist or a nazi. Other than that...
Seriously, dude, Obama has made a ton of gaffes. I don't know if he has surpassed Bush (that's why I did not say that he did). But I would bet money that he has more than Bachman. He has said some shit that you would remember well -- if Bush or Bachman had said it.
If you want, you could start posting a Bachman gaffe and I will post an Obama gaffe to match. We'll see who runs out first.

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
Already said I could care less about Bachman's gaffes (at this point.) I mean, they are amusing, but not much of a real concern. The outright "gaffe" per minute mic'd ratio of the two (Obama/Bachman) is probably not far off. Its the crazy shit she means to say that bugs me.

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
Believe me, there is stuff in Obama's speeches (content aside) that annoys me. The gaffe rate isn't it. Gaffe per minute micd is probably average for a pol. What bugs me are his verbal fillers. The "uhhhs". Cons would say its a sign he has trouble turning his mental wheels, Dems would say its him being deliberate and making sure he means what he says. I just find it annoying.

Mook, it's understandable that you think oprama hasn't had many goofs. I mean who can blame you since the MSM does their best to downplay and hide his but did the opposite for Bush in that they actively sought them out and looked through scrap coverage to try and find them.
And that is how the liberals got a crackhead elected (berry).

Re: Puterbac News Network and Political Discussion Thread
For the record, I'm not a Bachman supporter. I'm not a Palin supporter. I don't think George Bush was a particularly good President.
I just don't like the political double-standard that is applied to them vs. someone like Obama. All of them have said dumb things in public. But only some of them seem to be held up to ridicule for it. If anyone is going to have their intelligence questioned based on public gaffes, the current President (and, for that matter, his VP) should be high on the list. It's enough that it goes beyond the occassional mis-step that anyone in the public eye is bound to make. Yet they seem to get a pass.
I wonder why that might be...hmmm.

Long as you're disparaging the Tea party, no big deal.
Some of them in Congress right now with this Tea Party movement would love to see you and me -- I'm sorry, Mr. Chairman -- hanging on a tree.
