Re: Florida State Seminoles
A newly declassified ruling from a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court in June demonstrates that the government lied about its legal basis for spying on former Trump campaign official Carter Page.
The ruling states that the information produced by the FBI’s unlawful investigation into Page was illegally obtained and that it “found violations of the government’s duty of candor in all four applications.” The ruling also orders the government that “it must temporarily retain, and potentially use and disclose, the information collected, largely in the context of ongoing or anticipated litigation.”
Under the court’s 21-page assessment, information obtained by all four of the warrants and applications is invalidated due to its illegal acquisition, unless the Department of Justice is using it “to investigate or prosecute potential crimes relating to the conduct of the Page or Crossfire Hurricane investigations” such as the FBI’s overreach and its violations of FISA.
---------------
yesterday it was confirmed that a Clinton aid , Sussman, lied about who he represented in pressing the FBI to investigate the Steele Dossier from the Durham investigation
https://context-cdn.washingtonpost.com/ ... 27.#page=1
In the eyes of democrats and some here, the ends justifies the means
-----------
you should ask yourself why the FBI dismissed Sussman's claims as being easily disproven, yet still used it as the basis for FISA warrants against Trump associates.
but few of you will
its easier to focus on people storming the capital against a corrupt government labeling them as terrorists
even though its spelled out in front of you the government is actually corrupt and tried to bring down a presidential candidate and then a duly elected president.
again, as long as Trump is gone, no one cares.
until they do it to your candidate in the near future.

There’s about 10-20,000 “migrants” mostly from like Haiti, in a camp underneath the International Bridge in Del Rio, TX, trying to get into the US. News organizations have been posting pictures of the huge crowds on Twitter, etc. our governments response to solve the “problem,” is to ban drone/plane/helicopter flights in the area so nobody can take the pictures anymore.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
overwhelmed with 100....
In August, at the same bridge in Del Rio, NBC News asked Raul Ortiz, then deputy chief of CBP, why it doesn't test migrants. He said that non-governmental organizations test migrants when they leave CBP custody because, “As you can see, we’re already overwhelmed here.” The size of the crowd under the bridge was then about 100.

epochtimes commentary
-------------
death of science
The scientific method used to govern much of popular American thinking.
In empirical fashion, scientists advised us to examine evidence and data, and then by induction come to rational hypotheses. The enemies of “science” were politics, superstition, bias, and deduction.
Yet we are now returning to our version of medieval alchemy and astrology in rejecting a millennium of the scientific method.
Take the superstitions that now surround COVID-19.
We now know from data that a prior case of COVID-19 offers immunity as robust as vaccination. Why, then, are Joe Biden’s proposed vaccination mandates ignoring that scientific fact? Dr. Anthony Fauci, when asked, seemed at a loss for words.
Is this yet another of the scientific community’s Platonic “noble lies,” as when Fauci assured the public last year that there was no need for masks? He later claimed he had lied so that medical professionals would not run out of needed supplies.
Fauci also threw out mythical percentages needed for herd immunity, apparently in an attempt to convince the public that it will never be safe until every American is protected from COVID-19 by vaccination only.
And why was it that hard for the scientific community to postulate a likely origin of COVID-19. Some of the very scientists engaged in gain-of-function research oversaw an investigation with Chinese authorities. They confirmed the predetermined conclusion that the virus likely had little to do with gain-of-function engineering. And they saw little proof it was birthed in a Wuhan virology lab. Yet scientific opinion, emerging evidence, and basic logic have suggested the opposite.
How can the government hector citizens that they have a moral duty—and soon a legal obligation—to be vaccinated when it does not mandate vaccinations for unvetted refugees flying in from Afghanistan?
How can the government medical community remain largely silent when an anticipated 2 million foreign nationals will cross into the United States in the current fiscal year—almost none of whom are vaccinated or tested for COVID-19?
Why do the media and government blame particular races for the delta variant outbreak on grounds that they were insufficiently vaccinated? Why wouldn’t officials simply urge the Latino and black communities to be vaccinated as quickly as possible? Data shows that both groups have lower vaccination rates than white and Asian populations.
Are woke political agendas discrediting science and losing public health?
We saw just that in June 2020, when more than 1,200 “health care professionals” signed a petition demanding exemptions from lockdowns and quarantines for Black Lives Matter protesters marching en masse. And they concocted medical excuses such as “vital to the national public health” to insist that violating quarantines was less unhealthy than not pouring into the streets.
Why did presidential candidate Joe Biden and his running mate, Kamala Harris, warn the American people on the eve of vaccination rollouts that an inoculation under the Trump administration could be unsafe, thereby undermining confidence in vaccines?
Why was the medical community largely silent about such dangerous sabotaging of new vaccines, but months later became vociferous in warning the public that any doubts about the safety of these Operation Warp Speed vaccinations were scientifically misplaced? Was there a medical breakthrough on Jan. 20, 2020, to alter their consensus?
From rewarding wokeness in medical school admissions to the peer reviewing of scientific papers, the anti-scientific mania has polluted scientific endeavors.
“Critical race theory” would preposterously tell us that we need racism to fight racism.
“Critical legal theory” ludicrously claims that laws have no rational basis but simply reflect power inequities.
“Modern monetary theory” defies millennia of evidence and basic logic in stating that governments can simply print money without worrying about balancing expenditures with revenues or inflating the currency to ruination.
Corporations are now asked to substitute a new woke agenda theory—“Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG)”—in lieu of market realities, rules of investment, and economic data.
Science is dying; superstition disguised as morality is returning. And we’ll all soon become poorer, angrier, and more divided.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
The border thing is just the incompetence of this administration on display just like the Afghanistan withdrawal. The administrations leadership only goes as far as basic political talking points “immigration good!” Or “bring our troops home, good!” but they have no concept of the consequences or of the planning that needs to be done to make things go smoothly or minimize the adverse effects of their policies. They want to withdraw the troops, their response is to pick a political deadline (in this case 9/11) that it happens by so they can go masturbate on tv about how they created peace by the 20 year anniversary. But of course, since all they cared about were political optics there was no leadership involved in making the actual plans, so it went to shit. Same thing here, they want to encourage immigration but they have no clue, but their policy is not to encourage legal immigration, its just to ignore the problem and claim to be humanitarian, when in reality they are basically encouraging uncontrolled refugee camps at the border crossings with no food, water, no resources. Then because all they care about are the optics, their only response is to try to keep people from knowing its happening by banning the pictures. Its an extremely corrupt reaction.
I predict that the Rio Grande valley in Texas (heavily hispanic) will be the reddest counties in the state in upcoming elections. Its one thing to pretend that democrat policies are helping people you think are just like you, I suspect its gonna be quite another opinion down there about border policy when the current ones are essentially bringing in Africans, Middle Easterners, and Haitians. Its weird how that seems to work.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
If I remember correctly, POTUS Obama brought thousands and thousands of them over here from Haiti after the 2010 earthquake. Unlike the Islamic "refugees" in the Med making it to Europe from Syria and Africa, these were mostly women and children (true refugees, not "migrants" looking for money to send home) and they were giving refugee status to stay for some length of time until the country could be put back together.
Well, Haiti is not put back together. Its never going to be put back together (not the way the Haitians run it.) In order to be put back to together, you need to be a functional nation in the first place and Haiti never qualified. Once 3rd world, likely ALWAYS 3rd world. But the length of time (in years) came to an end during the Trump administration and he started booting them out of the country. They were free to go back to Haiti. Of course, none of them wanted to go there. They wanted to stay in the USA on the taxpayer dime in perpetuity. They couldn't do anything productive (a few of them got busted with their tax payer funded debit cards meant for food and housing getting botox and butt enlargement injections) and many of the children were getting into trouble with the law. But they still wanted to stay. But we knew where they were and Trump was like, no you have to go.
Canada started taking them in when we booted them out. They even had a spot on the border where these people were crossing where taxis were lined up to transport them to a shelter.
https://www.npr.org/2018/01/17/57858289 ... tion-fears
I don't think Canada wants them either. But they weren't going to turn them away. So now they are THEIR problem. These people were running (well, walking actually) away from ICE. Because ICE was going to give them a one-way-ticket back to Haiti.
Well on the Southern border, same thing was happening, people trying to get away from ICE because ICE means a ticket on a plane back to Haiti. And in this case (for them), Haiti = Hades. After living in the first world, of course they don't want to go back. They can't do anything here but they don't want to go back there. So they took the lesser of two evils and ran to Mexico.
Well Trump is gone and Biden lets in everyone so its time for the Hatians to come back and go back on our taxpayer dime and get more butt enlargement injections. Simple as that.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
its hard not to encourage immigration with every service sector job offering $15 an hour and hiring bonuses.
The first time that I can remember where the lowest paid workers have leverage in this country and can get to the point where they are paid enough to actually live without government support and the administration wants to fill the country with competition for the jobs. Why African Americans and (American) Latinos continually vote for this is beyond me.

He is correct. Legislators should be political. Legislators should write laws, not the judiciary.
Legislators are afraid to legislate in this complicated world in which we live because they are afraid they will alienate their base of support and lose re-election. That is because they don't think deeply enough as to what exactly their base wants or doesn't want. They just don't want to piss them off. That is why neither party wants to write a bill to define an immigration policy the way Canada, Australia, and New Zealand have.
