Opening Day of a new season is here. It will be tough to match last year's offense, but the defense can't be worse, can it? It feels like a 9-3 or an 8-4 year. Even if UF pulls an upset in the Bammer-LSU-UGa trio they will stub their toe somewhere else. Tonight and next week are not likely to tell us much but Bammer will in week 3.

Richardson provided some interest, but between him and Jones someone is going to have some injury time with the amount of running they do. Running game looks decent, but passing game cant go more than 15 yards downfield. Defense wasn't a sieve, but they couldn't get FAU off the field without giving up a few 1st downs in most drives. Another tune up next week but it still feels like a 9-3 year.

but your point stands....UCF's claim about a national championship is laughable and then-AD Danny White trying to negotiate as an equal with Florida/FSU/Miami for home-and-home series was also delusional.

Funny that he ditched when Heupel left for Tennessee like it was the end of an era......then the new AD negotiates UCF joining the Big 12....

The UCF claim was a marketing ploy to draw attention to some good years they had (after some particularly bad ones). Whether people laughed or got indignant was irrelevant - they got the press and now they’re on deck to a power5 conference. The ‘negotiation’ was short - they said yes before getting asked.
