Apparently, people are getting way too hammered at the airports waiting for their flights

The FAA has told all the airlines to have their gate agents be my aware of drunkenness among their fliers. There are two main reasons why fliers are getting shitfaced

At the moment, domestic flights are not yet serving alcohol so the drinkers are getting a buzz before boarding and
with all the cancellations and re-bookings, fliers are lingering around the airport much longer giving them way too much time to drink

3700 in-flight "incidents" this year

Apparently cancelling the ride, midway through the ride, is a trick that is routinely done to get a free ride.

That is so shady. But it does explain why Uber is having such a hard time finding drivers. They need to add a button click for the host who accepts the ride to tell Uber that he or she has the passengers and the ride has started and may not be cancelled. If Uber doesn't create that kind of host functionality (for whatever reason), then that is it. I can't understand why you would drive for Uber?

Having gone to USC law and knowing attorneys in SC, nothing in rural SC surprises me. SC is just Mississippi with more tourist attractions, a car plant, and no casinos.
