Micro-aggressions: 2nd year medical school Battacharaya asked if only marginalized groups can suffer them? Answer was no. So he went and asked more questions. A "professionalism concern card" was issued to the 2nd year medical student. Letters were sent and they suggested that he get counselling. And why? Because he debated for 5 minutes with professors in a "lecture" on micro-aggressions. Then they told him he had to undergo mandatory psychiatric evaluation. In the end, they expelled him and (because of his comments on social media) had a protective order given to him by UVa police.

He sued them. He's going to win Dave. And once again, UVa will settle out of court (just like last time) and money will simply be removed from the endowment fund (millions of dollars) and it will be given to the student who lost 2 years of his life in Medical School that he can never get back. And the ones who expelled him will never apologize, much like the gang of 88. And the alumni who donate will be the ones stuck making someone else whole, someone who was wrongfully harmed by these UVa administration lunatics.

Dave, what should happen to these admins at UVa? What should their "punishment" be for all of this? None of them have been fired and none of them had to face any consequences.

May I offer you advice Dave? Don't let people provoke you like this. But if you are going to respond, its usually best to take a step back and analyze the situation. And respond rationally. Take my comments seriously or shun them. The two incidents I mentioned, you could have responded any number of ways. But you dug your heels in and tried to attack me instead, just for mentioning them. Don't do that. Either do like DS does when I corner him like a rat and ignore my comments (because UVa's behavior is indefensible and out of sheer UVa pride, you would rather pretend it didn't happen instead of acknowledge it) OR go the other way and say you are ashamed at the way UVa handled it. Don't attack me. You just encourage others to poke at you.
