Well, he'd already been fishing the whole day previous, out in the sun all day fishing on pretty rough seas takes something out of you. I was asleep by 8:30 (even after doing a smidge of blow) and I was pretty beat the next day, he did it with no sleep but in fairness he's 26 years old. Maybe I'm just jealous. Actually, I'm not, there are few things I can think of that I'd rather not do than sit around with a bunch of strangers doing rails all night...

If you've got an electric smoker, "you" don't do anything except buy the meat and put it in the "smoker." That's not cooking, that's just watching TV until a beeper informs you when to take it out...

Well, I guess that's just one more of the many, many differences b/w you and me. And when I said "hooked up with," I didn't mean hooked up sexually, I just meant hooked up with some locals and sit around doing drugs all night. Or at least if he did really hook up with some chick, he didn't tell me about it and I wouldn't want to know...

my daughter took me to a place called BurgerFi ? I'm sure its a chain but I think its the best burger I've ever had

I do make a mean burger at home now - get some fresh angus patties at the grocery, soak them in Dale's and a spice mix we buy called Garlic Plus by a company called Clubhouse.

part of the deal of flying non-rev (flying for free) is you keep your mouth shut and keep a very low profile at the airport at ALL times. I woke up around 4 this morning, but then rolled over and went back to sleep for about an hour, during which time I dreamed that I drove up to eCat's house and found him sitting on the porch in a rocking chair reading the paper. His wife and the boy were on the porch swing. I can't remember what we said, but the planks of the porch were painted pale blue. It's been close to 20 years since I've seen eCat in person, but for some reason it wasn't like some 20 year reunion but rather just popping over to visit a neighbor that you see frequently. I guess that's what happens when you've spent a couple of decades interacting more or less daily with someone, even if it is online. And thanks to Facebook, I had a pretty clear visual image of eCat as well. Interesting times we're living in...
