I heard today that the AP top 25 does not include Duke, NC, or Kentucky for the first time since 1961.

Bill Walton to players: Don't go to Kentucky, come to the Pac-12

It’s been a brutal start to the season for Kentucky basketball. The Wildcats are 4-8 overall and 3-2 in SEC play, losing their last two games. The most games the team has ever lost under head coach John Calipari is 12.

Things certainly aren’t looking great for Kentucky, and it is taking some shots from the national media. Serving as the color commentator for the Cal-Utah game on Sunday night, Bill Walton had some advice for recruits considering Kentucky.

"With Kentucky up against it, with their fans turning on them because they were expressing their opinion, I just want the players who are considering going to Kentucky, that we'll welcome you out here in the conference of champions,” he said, via ESPN’s John Clay.

I loved aTm’s confusion or aggravation or whatever to my “Don Sutton”.

Sutton, from Clio, Alabama never missed a turn. Ever, in nearly 800 starts. And, later, one of the best announcers in MLB. The Braves were lucky to have him.

interesting problem for the NCAA tournament

what happens if say, a #2 seed in the tournament has 5 players in quarantine and can't field a team for the game? Do they forfeit? do they delay the game?

I mean I know Kentucky won't have that problem, they'll be home on the couch watching, but an actual good tourney team,

and what if you are Duke and find out you're playing Baylor so you fake having covid so you can get an extra 3-4 days of prep time?

I liked Lexington. I always enjoy going there. I just couldn't find a decent job there.

Do what the high school association in NC does, if you can't play, the team that can will advance. No forfeit, no loss, just advance the team that can play.
