Only 3 bowls count. The rest are a pile of shit. If you're not in one of those 3 top bowls it's a waste of time. They're all about the cash and the gift bags.

In a season where we're going into bowl games knowing almost nothing about cross conference strength, I would say that what would concern me the most if I was a fan of an ACC team is that one of the few things we did learn in cross conference games this year is that there is a credible case to be made that Liberty is potentially a better team than Boston College, Pittsburgh, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Wake Forest, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Florida State, Duke, Syracuse, and also almost beat the 5th place team in NC State. It doesn't strike me as an indicator of a strong conference.

And of course we have zero information at all about how good the SEC is.

Liberty almost beat a team Carolina mudholed and cruised against late. It was far worse than a 27 point beat down.

And that “fifth place team” had the easiest schedule by far, they avoided Notre Dame and Clemson. They lost against Miami and were mudholed by Carolina.

Carolina would have played Notre Dame for the conference crown in a battle of undefeateds had we been given such a weak schedule.
