I bet you one thing that is going to be addressed quickly if Biden wins and the Senate flips to the dems is some massive election modernization. There's not going to be hours long lines anywhere in the country in 2024 and universal mail-in is going to become the norm. Ease of voting is going to be a major issue that will be addressed quickly if Biden wins...

also I wonder if Trump wins, you think AOC will still be for expanding the courts like she demanded yesterday in twitter?

you want to talk about heads exploding, Trump wins and he expands the court and adds 4 more conservatives, all in their early 40's - and justifies it by saying the democrats demanded it.

Well, we never get the fiscally conservative part irregardless of who's in charge and irregardless of the lip service they pay to the notion, which is one of the main reasons I've thrown my lot in with the ones who at least try to deliver on the culturally liberal part. Look at Trump. He said he was going to eliminate the entire national debt in 8 years but instead ran up the national debt by over $3 trillion even before covid. I realize that eliminating the national debt was total hyperbole (to say the least), but I would've counted just keeping it where it was for 4 years as a massive victory. But no, him and the republican controlled congress ran it up multiple trillions. Seems like they always do...

I never expected Trump to try to reign in a budget

and if he is re-elected , he'll give the GOP carte blanche to go crazy with pet projects and chronies

that said, I can't vote for a progressive, I can't vote for someone who tacitly approves antifa, and I can't vote for someone who would support the Green New Deal.

Obama fucked me. I won't ever support anyone who represents that ideology, and I don't understand anyone who complains about our current government being corrupt, heartless, etc but wants a government solution to health care. It makes no sense.

Oooh, this is a first... My wife just got a weird quasi-threating hand written postcard. The card says “Vote Texas” in kitschy cowboy graphics with voter registration info, and it says it was paid for by the Chicago Indivisible Alliance and the postmark is from San Diego.

It says “Thank you for being a previous voter! Who you vote for is secret, but whether you vote is public information. After the election on TUES. NOV 3rd, local organizations may follow up with you on your voting record. ~Lisa”
