Interesting...
Twitter and Facebook have both banned links to the New York Post articles about Hunter Biden's laptop, etc.

"if you don't like the law, change the law. Until the law is changed, you abide by it"
Yeah, but when some people propose changing certain laws or operating procedure (court size, electoral college, you name it), other people whine like bitches and act like nothing should ever be changed and that the people proposing the changes are suggesting something totally outrageous...

"President Roosevelt clearly had the right to send to the United States Senate and the United States Congress a proposal to pack the court. It was totally within his right to do that. He violated no law. He was legalistically, absolutely correct,” Biden told the committee. “But it was a bonehead idea. It was a terrible, terrible mistake to make. And it put in question, if for an entire decade, the independence of the most-significant body … in this country, the Supreme Court of the United States of America.” "

Re: Florida State Seminoles
I have a feeling Biden is against court packing, but he doesn't want to fracture the base now. Thus, he keeps his mouth shut. Biden knows court packing will just open pandora's box, just like Reid did when he removed the ability to filibuster circuit and district court nominations. That was stupid, as is the damn filibuster itself. The filibuster is a creation of senate tradition and rules not actual law passed and signed by elected officials.
WRT to NYPost / Twitter / Facebook, I don't care enough to read up on it right now with the shit I have to do for tomorrow. I'll get to it this weekend, but I'm willing to bet that this shit has Russian intelligence interference tied into it.
With regards to the SCOTUS nominee. She's qualified intellectually, but I would like to see more practical experience and judicial experience. The constitution is clear: the President has a duty to make nominations, and the Senate should give consent. The political pandering by both sides is stupid.
Also, I think Trump screwed up politically with the nomination. He should have held open the slot and told the people "if you want a conservative justice, vote for me," and he could have scared the heck out of folks. I know a lot of socially liberal but fiscal conservative moderates to slightly right of moderate young professionals (old money / country club Republicans and their children) who voted for Trump the first time -- despite finding him detestable -- but will not vote for him again. Most of these people voted for Trump the first time because they were worried about a judiciary that was/is too liberal.

I agree, that was the prudent move and it might have saved Lindsay Graham's election chances, not that I care about Lindsay Graham or Mitch McConnell for that matter - they are both a net negative for the country.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
this interview sounds pretty sketchy
--------------------
Mac Isaac appeared nervous throughout. Several times, he said he was scared for his life and for the lives of those he loved. He appeared not to have a grasp on the timeline of the laptop arriving at his shop and its disappearance from it. He also said the impeachment of President Trump was a “sham.” Social media postings indicate that Mac Isaac is an avid Trump supporter and voted for him in the 2016 election.
Mac Isaac said he had a medical condition that prevented him from actually seeing who dropped off the laptop but that he believed it to be Hunter Biden’s because of a sticker related to the Beau Biden Foundation that was on it. He said that Hunter Biden actually dropped off three laptops for repair, an abundance of hardware that he chalked up to the Biden son being “rich.”
Throughout the interview, Mac Isaac switched back and forth from saying he reached out to law enforcement after viewing the files in the laptop to saying that it was actually the Federal Bureau of Investigation that contacted him. At one point, Mac Isaac claimed that he was emailing someone from the FBI about the laptop. At another point he claimed a special agent from the Baltimore office had contacted him after he alerted the FBI to the device’s existence. At another point, he said the FBI reached out to him for “help accessing his drive.”
-------------------------
I hope the New York Post vetted this story

Re: Florida State Seminoles
apparently I wasn't the only one
someone needs to get Biden up to speed on this.....
In May, Biden used the phrase “sexual preference” and no one got mad.
The former vice president employed the term during a roundtable discussion, vowing to “rebuild the backbone of this country, the middle class, but this time bring everybody along regardless of color, sexual preference, their backgrounds”

What's the big deal? Everybody knows he was a crack addict. He dealt with it and got over it. I think it's going to resonate with lots of people who have had to deal with addiction in their own famblies that this is a shitty thing for Trump to harp on...

Re: Florida State Seminoles
The primary lie in the Post’s account is the claim that Burisma was being investigated by the Ukrainian prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, who Biden demanded be fired. If that were true, it would suggest a quid pro quo: Burisma hires Biden’s son Hunter, Biden demands firing of prosecutor investigating Burisma. The Post, echoing the Trump campaign’s disinformation, claims “Biden later bragged about forcing Ukrainian officials to fire a state prosecutor who was investigating Burisma.”
In fact, though, Shokin was not investigating Burisma. Shokin was considered corrupt and ineffectual, and Biden and the entire democratic world wanted him gone precisely because he was not probing corruption. “Shokin was not investigating. He didn’t want to investigate Burisma,” Daria Kaleniuk, executive director of the Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Action Center, told the Washington Post in July. “And Shokin was fired not because he wanted to do that investigation, but quite to the contrary, because he failed that investigation.” Kaleniuk also told Radio-Free Europe/Radio Liberty last year that Shokin “dumped important criminal investigations on corruption associated with [former President Viktor] Yanukovych, including the Burisma case.”
Was Burisma paying Hunter Biden in an attempt to influence his father? Yes. Did Hunter deliver that influence? No. Biden did the opposite of what Burisma wanted.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
The author of the Post’s stories on the stolen Hunter Biden emails, Emma-Jo Morris, is a former Hannity segment producer-booker who has written a total of three articles, all of them covering the Biden story and published today. If Giuliani is obfuscating about how he came across these emails, Morris does not seem to be the reporter who is most likely to crack open his cover story.

I mean, its obviously all fake. Otherwise it'd be mentioned on like CNN or in the New York Times and Washington Post like the pee pee tape.

Re: Florida State Seminoles
It may not be fake, but, in rich irony, thanks to Trump, nobody seems to give a shit about stuff like this anymore. Years old drug use? Pffffftt. Nobody cares. Mild sexting with a woman who is not your wife (Cal Cunningham, running for US senate in NC)? Nobody cares. Cunningham's numbers actually went up slightly shortly after the "sexts" were released. Thanks, Trump!! Grab that pussy!
