Reds haven't been .500 this late in the season since 2013. Damn they looked good tonight. Trevor pitching tomorrow. I'm starting to get excited.

What do you mean it doesn't count? I know the playoffs have been expanded, but everything is different this year. You make the playoffs you got a chance to win it all. IMO this is the best Reds team we've had in years. Had it been a normal season we would have won the division.

Maybe. Maybe not. We'll never know. They jammed a 60 game schedule down our throats just to get to the money. The playoffs. Wouldn't even be near the All Star break. Do you really think the Marlins, who lost 105 last year would rebound to make the playoffs playing 162 games instead of 60? Yeah, the Reds made it and have a great rotation etc. Whoever wins gets an asterisk.

The Mets are going to start winning titles like no one's business. They need to bring back as many guys from the '86 team as possible and go old school. Lines and hookers in the clubhouse, 1 or 2 guys in jail on any given night, but they will have the highest morale in baseball and they'll have fun winning.

There used to be a lot of grumbling here in Houston about the playoff results from 1997-2001, but I cannot imagine having to watch your team lose 18 playoff games in a row.

We'll see how Kershaw does tonight. He's had some pretty epic playoff choke jobs over the past decade or so.
