alot of people are losing their shit over this kid - he was 17, carrying an AR-15 and lives supposedly 30 miles away - so they were declaring that he is a murderer and he shouldn't be able to claim self defense. While I think its definitely problematic that a 17 year old is in the middle of all that carrying an AR-15, at least in the video listed above, its hard to argue against self defense, especially when one of your attackers chases you down while you are running away. However in this era of liberal prosecutors trying to score points with BLM, the kid better lawyer up. He ain't walking away unscathed.

But what also is missed in their argument is the 2 people he shot (apparently he shot someone prior to this, maybe a guy that tried to set him on fire by throwing a molotov cocktail at him) in the video above, are also not residents of Kenosha.

Its tough to read the stream of consciousness on twitter from both sides but there is alot of bad information and misplaced outrage out there.

yea, the kid has an AR-15, with the thin barrel it looks to be a Bushmaster which is ground zero for the ban on civilian assault rifle movement

the gun I *used* to have is an FN-FAL , the NATO assault rifle.

From a looks standpoint they aren't very different unless you know what to look for.

the FN-Fal is a .308 caliber bullet so its noticeably larger and has a bigger impact.

but its all a moot point when you get shot in the chest point blank. you aren't really worried about stopping power at that moment

I have to say it's more than a little odd that like 4 SWAT trucks just rolled right on past this dude carrying what looked like a machine gun strapped around his shoulders and on full display. Evidently the kid didn't get arrested until the next day, at home. Just was allowed to leave the scene. If you can't see how black folks might be pissed off that a black guy gets shot in the back multiple times by the police, but this kid, fully brandishing an assault rifle, is just allowed to walk off and go home, you're not looking very hard...

Conversely, it’s odd that all that police armor was sitting on the sidelines while buildings were being looted and burnt down. Then all of a sudden they spring to action when rioters are attacked.
