Not to boast but last year squatted 400+ lbs while over checking out the new weight room built at the HS basketball facility and just a couple years ago bench pressed 305 lbs 7 times before ripping a tendon in my right arm. Not too shabby for a 6'2" 205 lb 65+ year old senior citizen. Right Hedge?? Not wanting to act like your juvenile buddy and lower my moral standards by challenging your skinny out of shape fragile frame to a contest, but I have no doubt you'd be no match for me. I do believe you ripped a tendon, though, at much less weight and on the first rep. Or else by "a couple of years ago" you meant 1985. however if I do from some unfortunately circumstances on my part and they threaten me, I'd run their ass over in my car because unlike them I am at a point in my life where I can afford to buy a new car.

Hedge........ pardon the error in my post. Just went out to my workshop where my Weider exercise/weight machine is and when adding all the weights together it only adds up to 293 lbs, not 305 on the bench press. I stand corrected.... and yes I did do it 7 times and on #8 the tendon ripped. Still not bad for an old geezer with Diabetes which takes it's toll on one's body. BTW, it was just 4 years ago, not 1985. Still use the machine.... can do the butterfly, arm curls and high lift with no problem but the bench press is definitely out of the question. The burning in the upper arm and shoulder makes it almost impossible... can do about 3 o r4 times at around 90 lbs but then the burning kicks in. Probably should have had something done to fix it back when it happened but didn't. Again, excuse the misinformation.
