Re: Ostensibly Hoops
ever think you'd see the day when someone would say that a player or family member getting cars & a house & shoe MONEY , and its all above board?
At one time $1000 in an envelope would get your ass in trouble. Now thats the same as giving cream cheese on a bagel.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

The four penny coffin (also referred to as a coffin house) is a Victorian term that described one of the first homeless shelters to be created for the people of central London. It was operated by the Salvation Army during the late 19th and early 20th centuries to provide comfort and aid to its destitute clients.
The Salvation Army operated other homeless shelters in the area. These shelters charged the clients different amounts depending on the amenities offered. At the low end was a penny sit-up, where a homeless client could get food and shelter from the cold in exchange for a penny. He was allowed to sit on a bench all night, but was not allowed to sleep. For an additional penny, there was the "two penny hangover". It was like a penny sit-up except that a rope was placed in front of the bench. The client was allowed to sleep when he leaned on (or hung over) the rope during the night. He was not allowed to lie down flat on his back and sleep. For four pennies, a homeless client could stay at a coffin house.
He received food and shelter. Moreover, he was allowed to lie down flat on his back and sleep in a coffin shaped wooden box. The client was given a tarpaulin for covering. What made this unique is that it was the cheapest homeless shelter in London at that time that allowed its clients to lie down on their back and sleep. The Salvation Army also offered shelters that allowed its clients to sleep on a bed for a much higher price. Hence, the coffin house was popular because it offered an economical and midrange solution for homeless clients looking for relief from the cold.[1]
Compared with modern examples this shelter in London is considered inadequate for these individuals. It was however considered an inexpensive and compassionate attempt to deal with the relatively new problem of homelessness. This shelter provided relief from the harsh London winters and was viewed by many at the time as having the benefit of attracting new followers to the Christian faith.

Zion Williamson’s former marketing agent files ‘newly-discovered evidence’ in North Carolina federal lawsuit. New affidavit claims Williamson and his stepfather were paid $400K in Oct. 2018 in exchange for granting exclusive marketing rights to another agent,” Daniel Wallach tweeted.
Included in the tweet were images of court documents that allege the payments were made.
However, Wallach later reported that Williamson's attorneys believe the new evidence is fraudulent.
"Zion Williamson’s attorneys are claiming that new evidence submitted by Gina Ford is 'patently fraudulent.' Among their bombshells: - driver’s license is fake - signature is 'clearly fraudulent' - New agent pulled same scam on Luka Donacic - matter referred to law enforcement," Wallach tweeted.
Last month, Wallach reported that Williamson would not have to answer questions of alleged wrongdoing in court.
"Zion Williamson is granted a full stay of the Florida lawsuit brought by Gina Ford," Wallach wrote on Twitter. "The 3rd DCA’s Order states that 'the trial court’s proceedings are hereby stayed.' This means that he will not have to answer Ford’s discovery requests - for now - as venue shifts to NC."

Alabama has a great class. We may win the NIT this year.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
getting students back to school at Bama is pretty chaotic right now.
students won't be on campus after Thanksgiving which is pretty common with alot of schools at the moment.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
Yeah. I’m not sure what the answer is, but I don’t think shutting the economy down (including colleges) again is a viable option, though. I’m just glad I’m retired and don’t have to worry about managing 3,500 people and worrying about the potential health risk on one hand or their economic ruin on the other.
These are hard times.

If UK has to rename Rupp, I'd like to put forward the name "Elston Turner Arena"
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.
