local town here, Bethel , its about an hour from Cinci, maybe a population of 3,000 people - a woman organized a protest and word got out, so a large number of people came out to make sure the protest didn't turn into a window breaking contest. In a small town like that I suspect most people know at least someone from another person's family. Its got pretty heated and they had to break it up.

The police chief was interviewed and he was pretty low key about it. His quote was "both sides were saying the same thing, they just didn't do a very good job of communicating it to each other"

We bought some land out there about 5 years ago - dead end road, only 1 extended family on the road and we bought a part of their shared farm they didn't use. The plan was to build either a retirement home, a house for the boy or a house to flip. Sounds ideal but then we realized that while that street was nice, it was about 2 miles away from a serious meth problem in Clermont county, and clermont county at one time was the 3rd worst county for meth in Ohio.

We are currently renting it to a family now.

Forgot to mention I totaled my car yesterday. Not like totaled totaled, but totaled as far as the insurance company was concerned. 100% the other party's fault, she had good insurance, I"m driving a Nissan Armada rental right now (lady at the rental place said 10 days was standard but the insurance company would extend it if you needed them to). Amazing how much damage you can cause just by running into somebody at about 10 mph...

I was in a turn lane (turning left), the woman was sitting at the stop sign waiting (well, I thought she was waiting) to cross the road that I was on after I had made my turn, but evidently she didn't see me and just pulled right out, didn't stop at all. Luckily I was decelerating to make my turn, probably wasn't going more than 10-15 mph, but the front corners of our cars popped into each other pretty good. Glad I was turning there, if I had been going straight at 55 mph (OK, let's be honest, 63 mph) and she had just pulled out like that... somebody woulda been dead, and it probably woulda been me...
