Here's what I was going to do if some mod wants to take it:

Okay, I'm running the football contest and it will be much different than what you're used to:

Every week I will post some lines. It won't be many, and no FCS or wildcards nonsense, just some games of note from across the country. Every week, your account will be credited with $220 (think of it as your gambling budget outta your weekly paycheck). Pick the games you like and bet on up to 4 games. At the end of the week, I tally your bets, subtract the vig ($10 per $100 won) and give you a running total for the next week (in other words, your total carries over) and add in your weekly allowance of $220 on Monday. Minimum bet on any one game is $50 ($5 increments - no $57.68 bets or whatever). Maximum bet (if you have the money) on any one game is $1100. You can have up to $110 of credit per week if needed. Vig on credit is $20 per $100 won.

Sample Week 1:

Player A finds 4 games he likes and bets $50 on each. He wins two and loses two. So, he was +45, +45, <-50>, <-50> for a net of $210 (he lost a total of $10 because of the vig) -- that amount carries over to Monday when another $220 dollars is added to his account for a total of $430 on Monday after the games.

Player B bets $220 on one game and wins $220 <-$20vig> or $200 for a net of $420. That $420 carries over to next week when another $220 dollars is added to his account for a total of $640 on Monday after the games.

Player C bets $220 on one game and takes $110 of credit and bets another game -and loses both for a net of <-$110> when $220 dollars is added to his account on Monday for a total of $110.

The rules:

1. No crying about lines or the games that are selected.
2. All lines are final. Once they are set, they are set. I do not care if they move during the week.
3. Make your game choice clear. For example, don't say FSU for $100 if Fresno State and Florida State or on the board.
4. The deadline to get the games in is 11am CST Saturday morning. No exceptions or grace period.
5. Minimum bet of $50; and can only bet in multiples of $5 (no $73.45 on Minnesota and $57.89 on Penn State, etc).
6. Maximum bet of $1100.
7. Vig of $10 per $100 won.
8. Weekly loan shark credit of $110.
9. If you dig your self in a hole >$100, you have to wait until your weekly allowance gets you back in positive numbers to play.
10. Vig on credit is $20 per $100 won
11. Whining to the book can be a $50 fine.

Yeah, it's not a bad game. It's more like betting with a real book. Hopefully, aTm finds someone to run it. His refusal to give me thread-setting privileges there gave me time to remember my prime directive: do not do work that you aren't compensated for. I came close to making a serious mistake.
