Re: Ostensibly Hoops
my mom is 84 years old
Its been a running joke in my family for years that she falls down, falls out of stuff - she is just clumsy.
in her late 60's she built a deck and fell off it, broke her hip, when she was in her 50's, we had a door that we intended to lead to a future built garage but it never happened and it had a 6 foot drop. She was shelling peas and went throw her pea hulls out of her apron, lost her balance and fell out the door. I came home from work to find her in the recliner all beat to hell. And that was the second time she fell out of that door.
Anyways, Saturday she was out in the yard at my sisters house, sat down in a chair and the rear legs sunk in the mud, the chair fell over with her and she was in the yard, laying on her back, still in the chair with her feet up in the air. She couldn't get up.
She had her cell so she called my sister to come help her, so my sister , being the loving daughter she is, laughed at her and then took pictures of her stuck in the yard like a turtle on its back - before helping her back up.
They sent me the pics and I had tears in my eyes laughing so hard. I called her the worlds largest yard Gnome.

I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

Well, when you consider that the 1000-Lb Sisters are from Kentucky, he is undersized...

Wake Forest coach Steve Forbes takes shot at Kentucky
Wake Forest first-year coach Steve Forbes hasn't had much time to assess his roster as college basketball's newest hire, but he does understand the importance of doing everything in his power to retain the services of All-ACC center Olivier Sarr, who entered the NCAA transfer portal last week. With several major programs expected to be in the running for Sarr's commitment, Forbes made it clear this week that leaving the Demon Deacons for Kentucky wouldn't be in his best interest.
Opining on Sarr's next move, Forbes took a shot at the Wildcats during Tuesday's appearance on The Drive with Josh Graham, saying, “I think the most important thing is, why would you go to Wake for three years, put all that time in for a prestigious degree, and end up getting your degree at a place like Kentucky?

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
In retrospect the coaching staff that Billy Gillispie hired at A&M in 2004 was pretty stout considering that Alvin Brooks was the "high profile" lead assistant.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I wouldn't want to try to say a degree from UK is a good trade off over Wake Forest
but then again, the Wake Forest basketball program is the DeVry University of getting into the NBA so it depends on what your goals are.
Forbes is trying to sell Sarr on getting a Communications degree from Wake while playing ball there, Cal is trying to sell him on getting a $2.3m contract to play in the NBA 12 months from now.

Re: Ostensibly Hoops
I’m not sure a degree in communication or marketing is even a little bit more valuable than the same degree from Kentucky.
I mean, maybe you’re promoted to call center supervisor a bit faster with the communication degree from Wake, but I’m not sure that’s a real selling point.
