I gotta give aTm props. I've had people from a broader sphere than ever before talking about Tiger King. Minimum wage redneck farm hands (black and white), farmers, low(er) brow friends who probably enjoy Real Housewives, etc, as their regular fare, the MIF's youngest daughter and fiance (they're hip and keep me up to date, mostly, on what I need to know to stay current, but aTm beat even them to Tiger King), my same age friends from far flung locales around the country, all of them have mentioned Tiger King in the past couple of weeks. But aTm was first. I mentioned it to the future son in law, then a few days later he said something about it and I said "yeah, that's what I was telling you about the other day" and he was like "no way, you're too old to have found out about something liek this before I did" (he didn't actually say that, but I know that's what he was thinking), but then I reminded him of specifics and he remembered that I, via aTm, had beaten him to the punch. aTm = bridge b/w Gen X and Millennials, rich and poor, black and white, highbrow and lowbrow, cool and nerd, fag and straight. A man of all seasons. Herald of the next big (in a 15 minutes of fame sorta way) thing...

We're still obsessed with Tiger King. I downloaded a Wondery podcast where Robert Moor interviews many of the people after the release of the documentary. I haven't had a chance to listen but I hope to this weekend.

There are so many unanswered questions. They could do at least a 2 part follow up.

If you're interested in watching a Western that has a different pace check out the Homesman with Tommy Lee Jones

there are no gunfights so its not what you would expect. Talking about it makes it a hard sell - Hillary Swank is tasked with moving 3 insane women to a caretaker weeks away by wagon and enlists Tommy Lee Jones to aid her to get there. Its not John Wayne and Kathryn Hepburn in Rooster Cogburn, but more Bogart and Hepburn in African Queen but its got that life is hard every fucking minute of the day, you will die and no one will care grit to it.

There is no happy ending in this movie.
