I don't think its fake, I do think it doesn't take into consideration the % of smokers in China as well as the % of people that live in areas where the air isn't fit to breathe.

I can remember being in India and every morning walking out it took about 10 minutes to adjust my eyes to the pollution. - they would burn and water up. I can't imagine breathing that every day

The areas in northern Italy where the biggest current problems are is also really bad air pollution.

I usually dont seek to go anyway, but this year in particular I avoided it. IMO almost every superfluous large crowd event should be cancelled/postponed at this point. I think we'll be seeing TV only sports for a month or so potentially.
