Yeah, and Trump blamed the market decline on the democratic debates... which took place on Tuesday night. You can pretend to assume (very incorrectly, I believe) that dems are loving this and are happy about some new plague, but the fact is Trump is going to blame it all on the dems. Already has. So spare me any indignation over who is supposedly loving what. But if you want to speculate, maybe you should consider that the depth of this week's decline is the market's vote of no confidence in the Dear Leader's ability or even inclination to get a handle on this outbreak, which actually should scare you. Of course I'm sure Trump would love for all of this to just go away, mainly b/c it's fucking with the market (again, the only thing he really cares about on a national level), but I doubt most people have much confidence that he's capable of getting much done in that regard. Hopefully this thing will straighten itself out, but I don't believe that Trump will have much to do with it...

His over the top reactions and pleading calm are all badly timed. Blaming the dems for the cornholio hoax and that we are fine is just another example of just how out of touch he is. Blaming the stock market on the dems primary a day after the actual primary and 2 days after the fall started is just another. He's quick to take credit when the market is doing well but quick to blame when it's not. He's very unstable.
