At this point I almost hope he gets reelected. The economy is going to tank sometime in the next 5 years (probably in the next year), we've been on a continual upswing since Obama took over the steaming pile of shit he inherited due to the sub-prime financial meltdown (not saying it was Bush's fault, but it was what it was) and the economy and the markets just can't keep going up forever. We're overdue for a downturn and it would be amusing to see how Trump, who takes sole credit for the past 3 years of growth, tries to make excuses for why everything isn't still going strong. I'm sure his supporters will believe whatever he comes up with (probably Obama's fault). But it would be funny to watch Trump's behavior in the face of a downturn that he has absolutely no control or even influence over, although it is certainly a strong possibility that he'd nuke somebody just to distract from an undeniable financial crisis that he can't do anything about...

A highly unpalatable opinion for anyone who actually gives a shit about America and isn't braindead, but if you back it up up just a hair and look at the bigger picture the Union is going to implode anyway if we keep alternating between Rethugs and corporate Dem$ like we've been doing. If we can't consistently get moderates like Sanders or Warren (basically just New Deal Democrats from the 50's but deemed radicals by a pervasive propaganda system) into the White House we're just going down a steady slope that ultimately slogs underwater into the sea. Trump OTOH is only throwing us off a cliff to reach the same destination a little bit quicker. You can make the case for either, especially if the latter is the regrettable result of a legitimate effort to challenge a Democratic Party that has been heavily corrupt since Bill "Banknote" CLinton.
