Hilljacks didn't take the poll....national polling. Like I stated earlier, at one time in late spring shortly after the teachers protest in Frankfort, Beshear had a 20+ lead.

I saw of Fox News where Bevins was touted as the most unpopular governor in the US. Can't imagine why. Go figure.....and to think Trump almost pulled it off for the jerk.

If Warren is the nominee......

------------------
Elizabeth Warren, who rose to the top with big liberal bets, is banking a big slice of her presidential run on full-throated support for Medicare for All.

Why it matters: Warren is taking a beating on social media after claiming middle class Americans won’t pay higher taxes to fund health care coverage fully paid for by taxpayers, according to data from NewsWhip provided exclusively to Axios. At the same time, her poll numbers nationally are slipping.

The bigger picture: Numerous prominent Democrats have told us Trump will feast on Warren’s plan to eliminate private insurance to force everyone onto Medicare. They worry she has no wiggle room to backtrack if she wins the nomination because her entire reputation is wrapped around not buckling on big debates like health care.

By the numbers: Of the 50 biggest stories over the last two weeks about Elizabeth Warren's plan to pay for Medicare for All, 70% were negative, according to NewsWhip data.

Criticism around how to pay for the plan has been accompanied by a rapid descent in the polls. After briefly overtaking Joe Biden atop the 2020 Democratic polling average on Oct. 8, Warren has tumbled and now trails Biden by 7.2 points.

Between the lines: The blowback against Warren is a natural consequence of her emergence as a top threat in the race, illustrated by the incoming she faced in the October debate.

It is a reversal of a trend we saw in the summer, in which Warren was the beneficiary of glowing stories and subsequently climbed in polling.
The criticism picked up following the debate after she danced around questions of whether the plan would require a middle-class tax hike.

Between the lines: While not explicitly about Warren, a Yahoo Finance article from late October that calculates the taxes necessary to pay for Medicare for All was the biggest article associated with Warren in 2019 on social media with 820k interactions (likes, comments, shares).

According to NewsWhip data, the criticism picked up steam in the wake of her announcement of how to pay for the plan, which requires an additional $20.5 trillion of federal spending.

I'm thinking that if the Democrats actually nominate a communist, I may actually just vote all Republicans down the entire ticket in 2020.
Sure, I could have stayed in the past. I could have even been king. But in my own way, I am king.

I'm at a loss how Warren can stand up and say we're going to tax middle class people (she actually isn't saying that but anyone paying attention knows she is going to have to) AND admit that her reforms will do away with 2 million high paying jobs as part of the cost of a single payer system.

I'm certain there will be many, many sub 35 year olds who jump on this just like Obamacare was the solution to poor people getting health care but this plan is dangerous.

That has to be part of the appeal of Buttgieg - he is a moderate who is downplaying the viability of Warrens plan.

Biden should've run in 2016. The Alzheimers has advanced too much since then, can't imagine what he's going to be like in 5 years. But yet and still, a drooling incoherent Biden would be vastly preferable to the buffoon we've got now...

It's not debatable that Obamacare was an improvement over what we had before. Granted that isn't saying a lot which is the real crux of the problem, but Trump's plan (and probably most Republican's plans) was to come up with a system based even more so on free market principles than previous, which is nothing but an unmitigated international scandal.

So now Bloomberg might get into the race. He'd be good, an actual billionaire who actually built and ran a hugely successful company (not somebody who just gets paid a fee to slap his name on shit that other people build and pay for or start casinos that go bankrupt in a few years, multiple times), as well as being the mayor the NYC. And he can hardly be accused of being a lefty socialist. He's everything Trump claims to be but isn't and he doesn't run his mouth about himself all the time, just let's his actions speak for themselves. It won't happen though, the leftists in the dem party won't allow it. But he would actually be a good president...

its absolutely debatable. The only benefit to Obamacare was helping impoverished Americans living at the absolute bottom level of income to have subsidized health care.

What Obamacare did to the masses as a result of standardizing health care minimums with high deductibles is the equivalent of adding thousands of dollars of tax onto an individual that goes up each year.

yes, there are going to be pockets of people who say Obamacare helped them but for more than 120 million people who already had private health insurance, at best it was a net zero and in no way lowered or controlled their health care costs.
