Michael Cohen apparently isn't done yet. In a bid to remain out of jail, President Donald Trump's former lawyer and "fixer" is offering congressional Democrats new information about the recently concluded Russia investigation. His attorneys told lawmakers in a letter Thursday that Cohen has discovered substantial files on a hard drive that might be helpful to investigators. Cohen was sentenced in December to three years in prison for financial crimes, campaign finance violations and lying to Congress.

Russia worked hard to get Trump elected - an incontrovertible fact. Based on comments by Donnie's sons and personal attorney, there were numerous financial deals between the Trump organization and Russia. Russian money funneled through the NRA funded campaign advertising. Trump changed the GOP platform to favor Russian interests over Ukraine sovereignty. He took office and immediately dropped sanctions on Russia (or tried). His AG recused himself after lying in front of Congress about Russian contacts. Everybody lied about Russian contacts. Trump famously fired Comey over "this Rusher thing". Helsinki, and all the Putin love.

Any one of those items is suspicious on it's own - taken as a whole it seems REALLY suspicious. And Trump won't show his taxes. His lawyers wouldn't allow a meeting with the special counsel ("over our dead body"). His campaign manager is behind bars and his attorney/fixer will be momentarily. Trump lies about things large, small, and in between.

Tick, if you are correct in your well-rehearsed kook conspiracy theory of Trump colluding with Russia, then why didn’t your Golden Boy, the ex-Marine hero, the paragon of integrity, the stellar public servant Robert Mueller just exonerate Trump of any collusion with Russia?

Along with that, if Mueller (Peace be upon him) or his hit team found evidence of Trump obstructing justice, then why didn’t they indict him for it? “If you fidn’t indict, you can’t incite.”

There's no 'theory', fool. Trump's son, son-in-law, and campaign mgr. met with a room full of Russians in Trump Tower about the campaign and lied about it. Trump lied about it. The cmpaign manager shared campaign data with a Russian intelligence officer. Those kind of things are known, whereas the Mueller Report is an unknown. The Barr Characterization doesn't mean shit, as Mueller team members are making clear.

Is it now permissible in 2020 for Trump’s FBI director to insert an informant into the campaign of the Democratic presidential nominee? If Joe Biden is the 2020 nominee, will the Trump Justice Department seek FISA warrants to monitor the communications of Biden’s campaign team—in worries that Biden son’s business practices in the Ukraine had earlier compromised Biden who had intervened on his behalf by threatening to cut off aid to Ukraine? Will they investigate Biden’s propensity to hug and kiss under-aged girls? Will Trump’s CIA director contact foreign nationals to aid in spying on Biden’s aides? Will National Security Advisor John Bolton request that the names of surveilled Biden campaign officials become unmasked as a way of having them leaked to the media? Will Trump hire a British ex-spy to gather together rumors and gossip about Biden’s previous overseas trips and foreign contacts, especially in the Ukraine, and then see them seeded among the Trump CIA, FBI, Justice Department, and State Department? Is that the sort of country we have now?

Those are the REAL crimes committed in the last two years. In six years, Trump will begin retiring comfortably in Mar-a-Lago. Comey, McCabe, Strzok, and Brennan? They will be wearing orange jumpsuits. Their descent into which has already begun.

Collusion isn't necessarily a crime - wish I had a quarter for every time I heard a repuke utter that remark. Could it be an impeachable offense? Maybe. Would it be a political faux pas? You bet.
Would Donnie have lied about the meeting in a session with Mueller? LOL...nahhhhh, but there was no sitdown so there you are. It's almost a given that Jr. lied to Congress about it, so maybe an indictment is still on the table.

Yes, it will happen within a week. You will just be devastated again, as the latest kook conspiracy - that there is any difference between Barr's summary of the Mueller Report, and the Mueller Report - collapses. Not quite as devastated as the Trump election, or the day Mueller submitted his report exonerating Trump of collusion with the Russians, and didn't indict Junior or Jared for Ivanka for obstruction of justice. But pretty devastated still.

Barr Forms Team to Review FBI's Actions in Trump Probe

(Bloomberg) -- Attorney General William Barr has assembled a team to review controversial counterintelligence decisions made by Justice Department and FBI officials, including actions taken during the probe of the Trump campaign in the summer of 2016, according to a person familiar with the matter.

This indicates that Barr is looking into allegations that Republican lawmakers have been pursuing for more than a year -- that the investigation into President Donald Trump and possible collusion with Russia was tainted at the start by anti-Trump bias in the FBI and Justice Department.

“I am reviewing the conduct of the investigation and trying to get my arms around all the aspects of the counterintelligence investigation that was conducted during the summer of 2016,” Barr told a House panel on Tuesday.

Barr’s inquiry is separate from a long-running investigation by the Justice Department’s inspector general, said the person, who asked not to be identified discussing sensitive matters. The FBI declined to comment. Barr said he expected the inspector general’s work to be completed by May or June.
