It certainly helps he's out, Owlman. Then again, Carolina and LSU (but not Florida!) play them as well. It would be good for Arkansas to beat them to help us out so losing the running back cuts both ways.

The local paper had a story in it regarding South Carolina. Spurrier is sounding awefully confident about getting into the SEC Championship game and possibly winning it. The article in the paper isn't in the online edition so I can't copy/paste it into this forum. It's a shame as the article also mentions other teams in the SEC as it compares and contrasts them with Carolina. It's a pretty good read.

After reading the article and doing some quick research, I'm picking S. Carolina to win the SEC East. I'm backing off my statement we'll limp into the championship game. We may luck out and beat them (doubtful...). However, they'll beat everyone else to end up with a better record and get into the title game. Unless we are quite a bit better than Dooley is hinting at and we avoid the injury bug so our young team can go all the way intact (yeah, right...), no way we make it in.

There is always next year...
