heh...while funny on video, I would not ever do that.

That's what I'd call a police knee in the back of the neck decision
I like the stinky pinky but only up to the first knuckle, I do not want a GD thumb up there--I've told her multiple times and I always catch her when she tries to pull a fast one---it's my butthole for Chrissakes I'm gonna know--so cut out the BS.

the kid around the 1:58 mark gets slapped into the negative zone and is never heard from again.
Sure, I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is, I'm not. I honestly just feel that America is the best country and the other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

Nice article about James Taylor, a Chapel Hill native, written by a younger friend of his fambly who also grew up in Chapel Hill. DS might be the only person here interested, but it captures the essence of Chapel Hill, at least to me. Also hits several other high points (Christmas in the South, heroin, punk rock, you know, the essentials). Anyway, it's a good piece...

1) This is the part of Chapel Hill I miss.

2) Hedge knows this, but the author, Will Blythe, wrote "To Hate Like This Is To Be Happy Forever," which is one of the best "sports" books I have ever read. He wrote about the Carolina-Dook rivalry from an educated, literary perspective. He's a third generation Carolina grad who was raised in Chapel Hill, but he ends up going to Dook to meet with the Rat and Crazy Towell Guy amongst others. He also spends a lot of time with Melvin Scott. It's a great read.
I proudly took AFAM 040 at Carolina.

Frank Robinson dies at age 83..... Got to see Robbie play for the Reds back in '62. He hit a home run just barely over my head while I was sitting in the top row of the Sun Deck in right field at old Crosley Field. My brother tried to catch it and missed it by a few inches. It landed in the street outside right field. Great memories.

You either get old or die young.... I'll take the getting old every time. Also with age comes wisdom... you'll find that out someday :D

Great video of old Crosley Field. Remember the 'smell' they're describing in the video. Actually bought a bag of those roasted peanuts on the way out of the park to eat on the school bus going home. Not sure if it was from the guy in the video. Saw Gordie Coleman hit a home run through the hole in the middle of the scoreboard.... you can see the hole behind the pic of Pete Rose in the video. Went a total of 3 times to old Crosley. Our Little League teams would go at the end of each LL season. Always had to sit in the Sun Deck (cheap seats) except once got to sit in the upper deck in right field. Good ol' days to say the least..... and yes, Rat, I'm old. Check out the video.

put my dick away too fast after taking a piss so now I got a pee spot on my jeans the size of a nickel, and of course I had to pass like 5 people between the bathroom and my desk.

Now I have to sit here for 30 minutes while it dries.

Welcome to your 50's.

That's why I still prefer to wear dress slacks at work. At least there's room between garment and leg while walking for the dribble to go down a ways.

I sent a buddy something about some actor from the IMDB website (can't even remember why I sent it), he replied "He has the same birthday as me, but 33 years older." Now, this guy is a few years older than me, 58 to be exact (I know this b/c the actor, who is still alive, is 91). I think of him as pretty much my same age, and don't think of 58 as that old. But I can also very easily get my mind around just how much and how long 33 years is, which does not seem like that much to me. But then I thought, goddamn, in 33 years, I'll be pushing 90 and my buddy will be 91, if we're even still alive. Man, time is running out, we might as well turn this shit over to AOC and her type, why not, we're going to be dead soon, let the young 'uns have their turn, we're not going to be alive to see it, irregardless of how things turn out...

I'd like to think I've got another solid decade in me before I have to admit I'm in the winter of my life.

Yeah, but even at that pace, we're still solidly in the fall. Like early November...
